I received a text message the morning of my move asking if they could come an hour later than my scheduled time, which I approved. Only one of my two requested helpers was there at that time. The other didn't show up until almost 2 1/2 hours later, leaving my 60 year old father doing heavy lifting in 100 degree heat. I was extremely disappointed, but I must say that the first helper was excellent - he really worked hard to make up for his absent colleague. Unfortunately, I still ended up several hours behind schedule. I spoke with their supervisor on the phone at the end of the job, and he wanted to alter my bill to reflect the extra time, but I refused since we were short handed and he agreed to leave the charges as they were. I don't think I would recommended them to anyone, but I also appreciate that they listened to my complaint and didn't charge me extra.

3 Brothers called 1 week in advance to confirm job and location for job. On day of job which happened to be hottest day of year at the time, the 2 workers called for address confirmation and clarifying directions. The workers arrived early and were courteous and ready to work. I showed them the tasks to be completed and they immediately began working and worked consistently until job completed. They were careful with items and placed them where directed. They had to move items from ground level to 3rd floor apartment with no elevator so they were up and down stairs but never wavered. I'd certainly use them again and hope others who use them are as pleased as I.

These guys were great. Very professional and pleasant. They were on time, prepared and worked hard. They also helped fit all my belongings into the overstuffed truck. They strategically placed every box. Would definitely use them again.

3 Brothers moved me in and then out of the 3rd floor walk-up I lived in for 2 years. They arrived on time early Sunday morning and stayed for 2 extra hours to finish the job. They are courteous and efficient and I highly recommend them.

Take this from a veteran in the art of moving (more than 20 moves in 15 yrs). These has been one of the best moving experiences I've had.
The contract was for 2 guys arriving between 8 and 9. Instead, at 7.45am 3 very pleasant guys showed up ready to get going. They had my apartment empty within an hour and even helped me pack a few things I hadn't finished packing.
They loaded the truck carefully and took really good care of a few fragile objects I had.
Overall, extremely please with these guys. Would definitively use them again.

They need more experience in moving. I had a couch that they insisted would not fit in my elevator. The guy that was assigned to drive the truck, had to tell them how to get that couch on the elevator or the job would have gone into yet another four hours which I only hired them for two, had to pay for three.

Before I explain why 3 Brothers was so bad, let me be fair and give a caveat. They were booked last minute, on a Saturday that was also the first of the month. We had another company that cancelled on us less than 2 hours before our move so I called Hire a Helper in a panic, and they helped find 3 Brothers who were able to get 2 guys to me within 90 minutes. The only reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because they at least showed up, and eventually managed to get the job done, after some pushing and prodding and a lot of work on my part.
That being said, the guys they sent were absolutely horrible. One guy showed up in jeans and a polo shirt, and given that it was 90+ degrees that day, it didn't seem like he had much moving experience, but he was the main contact who worked with 3 brothers before. He didn't speak any English but luckily my wife and I both speak Spanish. The other guy was just a friend who had never worked for 3 Brothers before but was helping out so they could do this last minute move. In fact, it turned out that this other kid (17 years old) was a much better worker than the first.
Long story short, they moved impossibly slowly throughout the day, and had to have long conversations and negotiations for every single item they tried to bring up the stairs. I hired a mover because my back was very messed up at the time, but in the end I had to help a lot just to move things along. I would think they were intentionally moving slow just to get extra hours on the clock, but they were so convincingly incompetent that I'm not sure. We had some requests at times about what to grab next and which items to move when, but we often had to ask multiple times and on more than one occasion make them put down something they were trying to carry just to get them to listen to us and bring up the next item we had asked them to.
I know this makes me sound like a cranky old man or something like that, but I assure you I am normally calm and patient, and I am not old. These guys were just incredibly bad at unloading a truck.
Their saving grace is that the job did eventually get done and they did indeed show up on time. But everything else was close to a nightmare. They would carry one small box at a time, and pause before every trip either up or down the stairs. More than once they said an item couldn't fit in a doorway or up a flight of stairs or something, only to have me show them how to properly carry it to make it fit. It was a horrible day.
