The two stars is ALL about the dispatcher - one of the WORST customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
The movers themselves were quite good, and it’s a shame I can’t review the two separately.
I would give the dispatcher 1 star, and the movers 5.
The Portland Movers Ready dispatcher called me 4 hours before my appointment time & said the movers were ready to come now. I was nowhere near ready - place was torn apart - and needed at least three more hours to prep, which I let him know.
The dispatcher tried to BULLY me into letting him send the movers now, threatening that if I didn’t and they went to another job “they could be there 8 hours” - meaning I would not get moved!!
The stress of moving, not sleeping much, busting ass to be ready at the appointment time… then having a total a-hole dispatcher bully me & threaten me with not showing up… wow.
At end of call he said, “Okay, we’ll wait four hours FOR YOU,” to shame me how I was hosing these guys… even though I simply needed my appointment time to be honored.
If I were this guys employer and heard the way he talked to me, I’d fire him immediately.
The movers … were actually great, and it’s a crying shame this review makes them look bad, too, and that their dispatcher makes them all look bad.

Portland Movers Ready sent a wonderful crew to help me in my last move. I've had other helper sevices in the past and I was dreading this move. These guys were excellent at packing my truck, doing the job quickly and carefully. Nothing budged in the truck at all on the drive from our apartment to the house. Highly recommended!

Really helpful guys who were super efficient even in the pouring rain. They even helped me assemble my kitchen table with no directions or manual. This was a big move into a building with only one working elevator, and they got it all done under two hours. Highly recommend!!!

The team arrived promptly at the specified time and quickly got to work. They were clean, courteous, super careful, and unloaded a 16ft POD in 1.5 hours.
