Not a good team. One of the movers (I can’t recall his name - Maybe Charles), who did most of the talking, spent a lot of time trying to upsell unnecessary items and was frequently distracted—at one point he was organizing items in the PODs while talking on the phone with his girlfriend.
1. He spent about 30 minutes giving us a rundown of what supposedly needed to be covered and what additional materials we “required.” Only when I asked him when the clock started did he mention that the time began as soon as they arrived.
2. They didn’t put any padding or protection on the floors, and at one point they even stepped on some of our belongings with their shoes on.
3. They were not organized. They disassembled several items but didn’t properly label the parts, including screws and nuts for different pieces of furniture. It made reassembly extremely difficult because we had no way of knowing which parts belonged to which items.
4. After the first hour, their pace noticeably slowed.
5. They didn’t seem interested in completing the job efficiently or in a way that would make unpacking and reassembling easier once we reached our destination.
6. For context, we had two PODs. They filled the first POD, and because not everything was packed, they were supposed to load only the first half of the second POD. Instead, they left large gaps and placed a mattress in the middle of the space, which made it impossible for us to use the remaining room properly. As a result, we struggled to fit all of our belongings into the second POD—even though it should have been sufficient had they packed it correctly.
