We hired John 3:16 Movers to help unload our moving truck into a third-floor apartment. They arrived about 1 hour and 15 minutes after the scheduled window. While they kept good communication throughout, it did push our day back quite a bit (especially as we had driven our 26 foot u-haul 6 hours from Ohio at 6 am to be at our new apartment on time for their arrival).
We had a team of four movers for four hours. The head mover was charismatic and did a good job encouraging the team, and overall they were careful when carrying things up the stairs, and nothing was broken. That said, the experience was mixed. One mover didn’t seem physically strong enough for the job, and the crew became winded quickly, often taking many stair trips in the beginning, carrying 1 or 2 small items at a time. There was a lot of loud complaining about the stairs and the workload—including cursing in front of my in-laws and threats to walk off the job if it went past 8 PM—which made the atmosphere tense. While the cursing and threats were not directed at my family or I, we were nervous they might actually leave, so we avoided asking them to do things like placing labeled boxes in the correct rooms. As a result, most boxes ended up in the front entry, and we re-sorted them ourselves later.
The head mover left twice for 15–20 minutes. The first time, he let us know he was getting water for the team, which was appreciated. The second time, he left without saying anything, and the remaining movers just sat on our steps, even though there was still work to be done.
I don’t mind if movers need to take breaks or pace themselves, but the amount of complaining and lack of professionalism made the day more stressful than it needed to be. I wish I could give a higher rating, especially because the lead was kind, charismatic, and communicative—but unfortunately, the overall experience just didn’t live up to expectations.

The three hardest workers around! Victor, Julius and Don did an amazing job unloading our POD and placing our furniture in the right rooms!

I would not recommend these movers. They called to delay their start time and then showed up even later than that. When they arrived, their service was very slow and not efficiently executed.

Victory was a polished professional, arriving on time, organizing the move and communicating the details of the process. He and his team were polite, respectful of our property and thorough.
They both worked very hard and fast. Incredibly strong men who did the work of four with only two. Victor even helped to pack our trailer efficiently with his knowledge of protecting furniture and maximizing space.
If you are looking for a reliable, efficient and kind team, Victor is your guy.
Finally, they ask a very reasonable price.

The workers worked incredibly hard. They were very polite. They packed things SO well in the truck. They did not damage any walls when they moved very heavy and cumbersome furniture through tight spaces. I would definitely recommend them.
