WNY Movers did an amazing job helping me out after a bad initial move. We had to move our home into a storage unit - which ended up being two - and these guys helped me consolidate and move things into our new home. They truly were Tetris masters and so patient given the tedious process that was to be had. Definitely recommend!!

They did a great job when they got here, but unfortunately I rented a U-Haul and they were 2 1/2 hours late so that cost me more money. They never told me they had another job in the morning they’re supposed to be here between eight and nine, otherwise they were very respectful they did a great job and I would hire them again

The movers’ job was to move furniture and boxes out of a POD storage container and into my new home. The job request also explicitly stated I’d like the furniture assembled. They did a fine job moving the furniture: nothing scratched or broken as far as I can tell. But over half the boxes were not moved to the correct location in my house, though each box was clearly marked with its intended destination. This is pretty frustrating when you have two young kids and are scrambling to find supplies or clothes, only to finally locate them in the office instead of their bedrooms like was indicated on the box. The movers even asked me where I’d like certain items, only to move them to a place that was not where I had asked (eg. Putting something in the master bedroom that belongs in the basement). There were also about 10 or so boxes that they just left in the garage despite me explicitly asking for those boxes to be moved in the house.
Finally, when it came time to assemble the furniture, which was a key component of the job, they asked me for a drill and tools. I’m not sure if this was an honest miscommunication or what, but my tools were inaccessible due to having just moved across the country. (I’ve moved a lot, and I’ve never had movers not bring tools— I kinda thought that’s part of hiring movers?) So the furniture did not get assembled.
Given that I ended up moving over half of the boxes myself, and assembling the furniture, I feel I did not really get my money’s worth. I paid $350 for this job and it didn’t really seem like the movers cared enough to do it properly, which is frustrating. It was a two-hour-minimum job, so part of me wonders if they weren’t just trying to do it as fast as possible.
