This was the first move where it took longer than expected but that’s probably because they only brought one dolly and we’re arguing because one guy wasn’t working. With that being said, a two hour job turned into three hours due to the slowness of the workers. It didn’t help they didn’t show on time (passed the timeframe). Outside of that, I’d reconsider using this moving company again only for those reasons. Nothing was damaged during the unload and things were handled with care but the rate of speed and lack of preparedness is enough to keep me away.

Great crew, they got delayed by traffic, but kept me updated on their arrival time. Jumped right on it when they arrived. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

I had two parts. One in NY and one in NC.
NY guys were 3 hours late and came with more guys than were scheduled.
NC got cancelled three times at the last minute after being scheduled for 2 weeks. Finally the day of the unload two different people showed up from the service and at the three hour mark they said they had to leave not being available for extra hours which left me to finish the last 1 1/2 hours. Not great service all the way around from both ends.

I hired SMF moving to help when I moved from Delaware to South Carolina. I rented a U-Haul and packed it on the Delaware side but had the movers unload once I got to South Carolina. None of my items were broken or damaged, and everything arrived in the same condition as it was packed. The movers were on time and called to check in along the way. I would 100% use this company again in the future!

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

The customer should try to have all boxes properly sealed, dresser drawers emptied if possible. have boxes staged in one location, also to have all needed materials such as moving blankets , shrink wrap and tape.

What types of moves have you handled?

My company has handled various residential moves, long distance ,storage units ,ABF trailers, loading and unloading of PODS ,and office relocation.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

My favorite part of being a mover is helping people eliminate the anxiety that's comes on moving day.

What training do you provide your crew members?

My crew has been trained in proper lifting techniques and well as furniture preparation,packing and customer service. .
