Hi my name is Todd and I own Modern Day Movers. I have 30+ years of moving ,loading and assembly experience residential and commercial moves. I myself will be on and facilitate every move we book. Covid19 compliant. 1-6 man background checked crews available. Same day and last minute booking available. Every employee has been professionally trained. This company takes pride in the services we provide and strive for customer satisfaction We have all the equipment and knowledge needed to complete any move residential or commercial. We do full pack and moves as well. We are Hireahelper approved to move any kind of piano, pool tables or hospital equipment.

My experience was horrible. My first reservation was cancelled then given the only option that was $50 more
The day the movers were supposed to show up I had 2 UHaul rentals picked up, the provider cancelled 2 hours before scheduled time. REALLY?
The only thing that I do appreciate is that they offered to do the job at half price the next morning.
The movers were supposed to get there between 8-9 AM. They came about 19 minutes late. Understand that I had a 16 hour drive to Florida ahead of me. So time was critical
Todd was not very friendly and seemed to complain about loose items and size of the moving trailer, just wasn’t customer centric. The other guys were better but clear plastic totes were damaged and not treated carefully.
Then when I got help with the app, they lead me to add 2 additional hours that didn’t apply. The total time was less than 2 hours.
I had to call Hire A Helper to get that fixed. That was the other positive I can site. Person that handled it was good.
But I will never ever use this service again and I guarantee I’ll steer my family and friends away from it.
Your move was a 4th floor elevator move. the discount I gave that 3 movers took over 2 hours to do for a final price of just over $100 that u attempted to take full advantage of by trying to use us to move your loose items and garbage down hallways and elevator. The contract clearly states all boxes and totes are to be packed and taped shut you provided a 10 ft trailer that would not hold the items you wanted to move and I repeatedly informed you that the items you kept trying to get my crew to carry were not packed and I could not load in little spaces between totes also keep in mind your move was scheduled for 2 men and I provided 3 still at a greatly reduced cost that I paid out of pocket for. What u paid didn't even cover the cost of labor I provided. I went above and beyond but some people just can't be satisfied or appreciate the efforts to please thank you for not using us again because use is exactly what u did

Also the 4 hours you were billed was Hireahelper mistake and ur husbands for releasing payment. This mistake however was corrected by myself before we even left your parking lot by my phone call to Hireahelper.

Darius, Dominic and Carl were rockstars! I was worried about only booking two hours, but these guys got in done in an hour and a half!! Not only were they hard workers, they were personable, funny and outgoing, which made the not so fun task of moving much more enjoyable and bearable. highly recommend!!

Sorry for the late review - no excuses other than there is so much to do after a move in. Todd and his crew at Modern Day Movers were on time, prepared for the job, worked really hard, took great care of my property and I would use them again with no hesitation. This turned out to be hot and humid day and there was a second floor and walk out lower level to the home we moved into. We moved from LA and used a service there that was not nearly as good. This crew wasted no time and stayed an extra 2 hours after my reserved time. They cheerfully complied with any request and did an amazing job getting furniture in without nicking any walls or hardwood floors. Thanks again to Todd and crew!

We would definitely hire Todd Owens and Modern Day Movers again. Todd answered my questions concerning packing details and crew size via email. And just before the move, he responded to a voice message I left by calling back and verifying that yes, our move was on Modern Day Mover's schedule. The day of the move, Todd texted to let us know what time he'd be there. He and his crew arrived on time, and got the job done in the allotted two hours. Not only were they efficient, but they did an excellent tetris job -- fitting and securing everything in the POD moving container.

We will do whatever we can to relieve the stress of your move . If you are not given professionalism and respect by every Modern Day Mover and it's not resolved immediately our portion of the move will be free.

Let us do the work for you. Packing services are available. To save time and damage prevention all boxes should be tape shut and tote lids secured.
