We had a very bad experience working with Front Range Moving Company. I would not use this moving company again nor would I recommend anyone using this company especially company owner Jack. The moving service was satisfactory, but unfortunately the professionalism of Jack outweighed anything positive about the moving experience. I will explain what had happened. It was Friday and we began loading the 20ft truck. Friday afternoon we determined we were going to need some assistance with loading the rest of the items since were supposed to drive the truck and unload into our new house in Denver. So we searched the Internet for a company that identified themselves as serving both the Colorado Springs and Denver areas. This is a quote from Front Range Moving Company, "Front Range Moving Company is based in Colorado Springs, CO and covers a 90 mile radius. Travel fees are included in the prices you see." Please keep this statement in the back of your mind because this will play into later in the situation. We hired Front Range for 2 hours in the morning to finish loading the truck and for another 2 hours in Denver that same evening since those were the minimum hours required for each job. So we put them on contract for two separate jobs. Later I found out the same team was doing both the Colorado Springs morning job and the Denver job, Jack and his employee.
We scheduled the morning job to start at 10am on Saturday. Jack and his employee said they were running late and showed up at 10:50. They worked until 1:05. During that 2 hour stint I found out they were going to be the same team supporting our unloading effort in Denver. We then made plans for them to meet us in Denver after they got a bite to eat and said we would text them when we were on our way since we had to do a few more items before taking off to dinner. That way they got a chance to get some food. At around 1:10 after being in the car for 5 minutes, Jack comes back into my house and tells me that, " I am short on money can I trouble you for some gas money." I state, sure no problem, and gave him $20 dollars. At this point I had no issues with the team.
After about 20 minutes we text them we are on our way to Denver. We arrive at the Denver house before them. We started unloading the truck. Jack and employee arrived around 15 minutes behind us at 3:45. We all together unloaded everything in the truck within one hour. We were all done at 4:45. I had other items in the car to unload, but I thought I would just let them go one hour early even though we technically had them for another hour. I was still happy at this point and gave them a $20 dollar tip ($10 each). We thanked them and they were on their way.
An hour later I received a text from Jack claiming that they worked 3 hours in the morning, not 2 hours and asked us to pay them for an additional hour stating they arrived at 10:45 and worked until 1:30(2 hours and forty five minutes). Jack justified this by stating that he checked his Taco Bell lunch receipt. I told him to send it to me and a day later he provided me a Taco Bell receipt stamped at 2:35 in Monument which is around 30-40 minutes where we lived. I am not sure how that proves that they worked until 1:30... But, nonetheless less that was his justification. We definitely clocked them and they definitely arrived at 10:45 and 1:05 so we held firm to that. We stated that we did give you gas money and let you guys go an hour early so we suggested we all just let it go. Jack then proceeded to keep texting back demanding his money stating and complaining and stating that he had to drive all the way up to Denver and should be charging us for driving time and gas money and everything. We then pointed to his website where it clearly states that his rates include driving time. So I don’t understand why he was complaining. After back and forth texting we settled on just giving him and every half hour payment for him to just leave us alone. The whole experience was a nightmare. Very unprofessional in my opinion and would never use Front Range again or recommend anyone using them.

Mover's response:
Wow I'm shocked Miss Hassan! You and your sister praised us for how careful we were with your antiques and breakables! And we provided boxes and 4 rolls of our tape at no cost to you! Thats why you gave us a tip and gas money! We just wanted to be compensated for the extra 1 hr we worked packing and loading items for you. We spoke with your husband he was pleased with our services too! I apologize maam, but we dont understand the issue? Please call us asap we will make it rigbt! Thanks Jack C.
