I would be incredibly lucky if I could have this team for every move. Everyone had a great attitude and work ethic despite the overwhelming jumble of my house. My moving pod was loaded strategically and with great care. This was a great experience!

We just moved to CO from AZ and had a packed 28ft freight liner full. Wasn't sure how long this would take so went to Hire A Helper as I used them previously. I hired a team of 4 men for 4 hours. They arrived promptly at the established time and we all took a 15 minute tour of the house. The moving truck had to be parked across the street about 60 feet from our house so there was a lot of back and forth, however the guys hit it and with a coordinated effort had my truck empty in exactly 2 hours. They caused no damage, were polite and spent no time standing around; just worked. I WILL use them again without hesitation.

The four men that came and moved our belongings were very professional and handled all of our items with care. They were fast and well organized. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

One of the movers clearly had little to no moving experience. He just prided himself on being able to lift objects that were too heavy for him. He grunted and stomped up our staircase with loads he should have not been doing. He dropped a piece of my furniture and luckily did not damage the floor, but he did injure himself in the process. This was in the first 45 minutes of the move. He didn’t have any understanding of how to pack a POD to keep from damaging things. He didn’t put blankets over tables and he didn’t know how to wrap things. We had to tell him to wrap things better that we were concerned about. I had asked to put a lot of my antique chests on their backs or sides and not on the legs, but only one was packed that way. Additionally they put very heavy boxes on top of fragile antiques that should not have had that kind of weight. One of the legs broke in the move before we ever unloaded it. A table that was not covered got scratched by the chairs on top, and the seat of my breakfast nook was completely broken and collapsed because movers put extremely heavy boxes on it, while leaving spaces on the floor of the POD empty. Luckily my pedestal kitchen table did not break. It was packed standing on its legs with heavy boxes packed up to the ceiling and three pieces of furniture on it. It’s a miracle more things weren’t broken. Company is not responsive to claims. My advice, avoid using PODS to move, unless you have a very small amount of stuff. A 16 foot POD will only hold about 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a small apartment, but they are not suitable for moving out of a house, way too small. And the POD is picked and lowered approximately 5 times before being set down to unload so a lot of jostling of things. Not suitable for antique furniture at all. Hire regular movers, they are cheaper, more experienced, and will get you your things safely, and they are more responsive to the customer. The movers PODS recommends are not trained, skilled movers. They are just guys that can lift heavy things, but no knowledge of how to pack things to keep from breaking.
