I contacted hire a helper again after having an initial experience that was far less than what it should have been. My wife and I decided to give hire a helper another chance and in doing so, we found a company that completely blew me away. From the start, the owner was accomdating as we drove through the night to our new home. The 2 men were there waiting for us and they were courteous and attentive and asked me at every step were the boxes go. After the stress we endured with the first movers, these gentleman knew their job and performed admirably. They were fast and half way through the move in, the owner stops by with an extra mover and provides this gentleman at no charge to help expedite the move. What!!! As a sales professional with over 20 years experience, this was a textbook example of superb service and why we will use these gentleman again. Bravo to the owner!

Helpful Movers was on point! They came on time, they were well prepared, they work extra hard because I had so many junk to load and unload. Great Job! When I told them these boxes/items are Fragile, they were extra careful. Of course I would recommend and pay for their service again.

The help showed up and instead of two, there were four helpers. This should be a good thing, but it wasn't. Their team leader had an attitude issue. I would certainly not hire him again. However, he seemed like the only person who had a slight idea about what needs to be done. The rest of the team just dumped our furniture into the containers. The process took a long time, because lack of expertise on part of the movers resulted in us having to unload and reload containers several times. Eventually, movers were unable to fit all of our furniture into the containers, because they had wasted so much space. We decided to thank them and let them go before more harm is done. We ended up spending a few hours to unload one container entirely and then were able to fit everything inside. Horrible team. They may be good people, but as movers, I will never hire them again. And the team leader needs to work very seriously on his attitude issue. The worst part was I had to tip them for four, not for two. So that was an additional $100.

After being stood up by another company, Helpful Movers stepped up and took the job on very short notice. They were punctual and extremely polite. I had a LOT of stuff to load on the rental truck, and they did it. The movers were professorial hard working individuals who took the time to care for my belongings.
