Movers Darius and Steely were good and careful movers. I prepaid 4 hours and they were done in 2 hours. I didn’t get a refund for the extra 2 hours, in fact I was charged twice. Once on Friday the day before the move and an hour after the move they charged my credit card again!! The payment process was completely confusing. I prepaid and then paid again. The customer service person helping me with payment was Abby and she was very rude and not courteous at all!! Will not recommend them again at all!!

My experience with Smooth Movers was very good. The 2 movers who helped us load our moving container were very professional, careful, and quick. My only complaint was that they arrived about 2 hours after the expected arrival window ended, which I am hoping was a one-time thing. I have hired them again to help with unloading the container in a few weeks!

So it seemed like everything was okay until my POD arrived in DC. The movers saw that the wardrobe boxes were not properly packed. They did not use the bars to hang the clothes. Instead they thought them in the boxes. They put dishes in the boxes with the clothes. The mattress was dragged and it is completely dirty. I want my mattress cover replaced .the heavy boxes were stacked on top of the light boxes and the boxes were torn so badly the movers in DC had to use trash bags. They were not able to get all of my stuff in the POD and I can only believe it's because they did not properly pack the POD especially the way everything was disheveled when it got to DC. Then I was charged for an extra hour and a half. I thought I knew why but I really don't since everything was packed so poorly. Yes, I want my money back for the extra 1 and a half.
