My biggest issue with this provider is that they did not treat my property with respect and were a bit careless moving things in and out. Several of my things were dropped and handled a bit aggressively, mainly by 1 of the 4 crewmembers there. They also charged me an additional $200 to unload a piano, claiming they would need to carry it off the truck, and ended up just rolling it down the ramp. Overall, I would not use this company again due to the lack of professionalism, the careless handling of my belongings, and the feeling that I was taken advantage of.

Would absolutely NOT use 5 Star moving again. After confirming they would be on site to load our apartment between 9 - 10 am, they never showed. We had to call them several times to get a response as to why they were not there. After we did get someone, they said they were on another job that ran late. Why would they book another job before 9am. We also had to reserve an elevator with our apartment on the 7th floor. The elevator was only held from 10 - 1 pm. No one showed up until around 12:30pm. Which meant only having 30 min to use the elevator. It was unbelievably frustrating, since we had booked this move months in advance with the information around the time of the move as well as the hold reservation on the elevator. Once the guys showed up, they said a 3rd guy would come to help expedite the process. No one else ever showed up. The apartment complex let us use the elevator longer, but not before yelling at us for going longer than our allocated time, since another tenant was moving out at 1pm. What made it even worse, we had a 9 hr drive after they completed the move. So, instead of leaving at noon as anticipated, we did not leave until almost 4pm. The lack of communication was not acceptable. Once the 2 guys were on site, they did do a good job of getting all of the items down & loaded onto the truck. We also did receive a discount from Hire-A-Helper for all of the issues we saw, but I would have gladly paid the full price if they would have been on time & communicated appropriately about the situation.
