They did a great job and I would be happy to have them help me again.

Although they did call to alert me, they arrived about 2 hours late for the job (due to car trouble). They were generally helpful and did an acceptable job, but they did not follow instructions in some key areas and I was forced to reiterate instructions several times. About 25 minutes of my 2 hour job was used up on work that did not need to be done and was inconsistent with the directions given. Also, the listing stated that they would have a hand truck with them, but they didn't (because they needed to get a ride to the job).
Thank you very much for the review. I do apologize again for the late arrival. Unfortunately (as mentioned) my car died so while the appt. was for between 10-11, we arrived slightly before 12:30. I asked you to reiterate instructions several times to ensure everything was being placed correctly. When I did not, items were placed incorrectly. We moved during a snow storm. Movers For A Cause still came and saved the day. They knew how to pack our POD so that nothing moved around in transit, they stayed over 3 hours extra until everything was all packed up. They are courteous, careful with our possessions, experienced, on-time, hard workers who I would highly recommend to my friends and family.

Two men worked diligently, and consistently, to help carry things from a walk-out basement around the home, and up a hill to the driveway where I packed it into 2 PODS. Great, helpful attitudes, and care taken with many antique items. I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing respectful, careful, but competent moving assistance. They arrived on time, and even stayed a bit longer to finish what had to get done that day. I would definitely use them again.

Reggie kept me posted as to what time he would be at my home. He and his helper were very cooperative as to where I wanted various things placed in my home. Reggie was up front with me saying that he could only give me 2 hours that day, but if need be he would come back the next day as his sister was getting married that evening. My job was not a simple one as my belongings has to come down a steep driveway and then down the back yard and into the basement. Reggie and his helper were both courteous and efficient. Thankfully, my son, grandson and my granddaughters friend were there to help empty the container and all of my things wound up were I wanted them.

Very good communication regarding job confirmation, arrival time, etc. Arrived promptly at time requested. Did a very good job loading container and advising on maximizing cube utilization. Definitely would recommend and utilize their services again.

The movers themselves seemed very nice and friendly, but they were an hour late (which is somewhat understandable given it was thanksgiving eve, but I do expect better planning on their part if they are going to accept a job). When they showed up they expressed confusion that it was an "unload" instead of a "load" so there might be some communication problems as well but unsure if this is their fault or hire a helper.com. Finally, I'd say they were a little rough with my boxes than I would have liked but overall it was OK.
Thanks for the review. You had a 3-4pm start time. I called ahead to say we expect to be there by 3. However, due to holiday traffic, it took almost 2 hours (Normally 50 minute drive). We left at 2:00pm with a 1 hour window in the event of traffic (out of our control), arriving around 3:30pm. Not late. I was aware it was an unload so I'm not sure why you thought we were confused. I don't recall being rough either, but I was outside so I apologize if that was so. - Reggie, Mgr

The move was done in a timely fashion but without carelessness.

I booked these guys through Hire a Helper because my husband Calvin could not be present when we moved into our new place. I was alone and had driven a Uhaul a long distance by myself. These guys were FANTASTIC. I was late due to traffic and they worked around me. They were fast, courteous and took great care of our property. They had clearly been working all day in humid weather and I was their last appointment. But they were in good spirits and very kind to a very frazzled woman. I give these guys my highest recommendation. Would definitely use them again!
