I was sent 2 movers but paid for 4.
So not off to a great start. The workers had to take smoke breaks in the first hour and not much was accomplished. I called the company to discuss the 2 extra helpers I was supposed to have and the manager extended the time for the current 2 workers to help move to compromise for the inconvenience, which was fine.
The 2 movers I had were just not up to par compared to previous moving companies I've had which were more diligent and had a little quicker pace. The whole experience just added more stress to an already stressful move. I do not recommend this company.

Overall effective, quick, and friendly. Would certainly hire them again. There was a small incident where the movers accidentally broke one of my windows, so that was a bit of a nuisance (having to clean that up, calling both my landlord and the moving company to follow protocol, etc), but again the company is extremely affordable so I’m not really complaining (not a whole lot anyways).

They gave me an hour window for their arrival. I thought that was a little too long. The Good news is that they showed up exactly at 1PM which was what I was hoping
They came prepared with a Dolly to use. I would suggest getting a pad for the Dolly so it doesn't scratch furniture
They worked extremely hard and the only break taken was driving from one location to the other
they were respectful of furniture as it was bulky and had to move in tight quarters
I hired them for 3 hours and were completed in 2,5 and returned $45.00 which I offered that to the helpers as a tip.

The team from Hire a Helper did a very good job. They arrived towards the back end of the arrival time window but were not late. They worked very hard and completed the task early due to their effort and dedication. The younger team member was just in high school which wasn't a problem for me since we were not moving high-value property, but if we were, he didn't have the experience and size needed for most household moves. Rez and Dylan were awesome! They arrived and helped us move a few larger items out of our country home into a storage shed. Though I really only needed them for the big stuff, they were quick to help with the other moving pieces. We got to the storage unit and they offloaded efficiently! How should a customer prepare for moving day?
It helps to be properly packed up. Boxes taped up and loose items boxed or bagged ready to go. Also blankets for wrapping wood and other delicate items should be made available. Pathway from the home, through the door way to the truck should be kept clear as possible so as not to interfere with the smooth, efficient and safe movement of items from the home to the truck or container

We have handled every type of move. Local, long distance, office, warehouse, pods, trucks, containers, home rearranging, tractor trailers as well
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We love making customers happy and getting very positive feedback. One of my favorite parts is when a customer seems so worried about how they will get it all done but are all smiles and exuberant when we start clearing out things quickly and efficiently. The change from worried to pure joy and happiness can be quite fulfilling.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We make sure all our movers are able to properly lift all items safely. New crew members are made to shadow our tenured & highly experienced movers to show them how we get our moves done. This also includes paying attention to details as well as courteous customer interactions. We start them with simple, quick moves and gradually scale them up to more intricate, bigger moves as they show proficiency and ability to grasp the essentials. Our movers are very highly experienced & have been proven in the field
