Troubled by the fact that both crew members were deaf and our communication was very limited. This really caused delays and I paid for it.
Both guys were very pleasant and I’m happy to see this company hire people with disabilities but think they should have a better way to help facilitate communication between them and the customer.
This review surprised me. I am the owner of H and G Movers and I was one of the men working your job. In the 10 years I have owned this company we have never had any issues with our communication; as we can read lips, speak, and if needed write down on paper what needs to be communicated. The original start time of your job was supposed to be 10am but the night before your move you informed us you were not prepared and needed it to be pushed back to the evening. Even though it was a last minute time change and we were very busy that day, we went ahead and changed your time to 6pm to accommodate you. We worked as hard and fast as possible. However, due to your stuff being unorganized and having a lot of stuff, the job took longer than expected. When we were finished working you seemed pleased. I am sorry that you were not satisfied with your move, we strive to make our customers happy.

I was very pleased with our recent move. It was an incredibly hot day and they were moving things up one flight of stairs. Their energy and initiative never flagged. They were done in less than the expected time. I highly recommend!

My first word to describe the service I received from H & G Movers would be WOW. They actually moved me into the address that they were moving me out of this time around, so I was familiar with them. I'm typically not one to review service providers unless the service was that exceptional so after dealing with them twice, I didn't have a choice. Robert and Joshua were the gentlemen who handled the move for us and they were exceptional at their job. They took great care of all my belongings and were as efficient as I could have ever hoped for. Maggie, the woman who handles the phones for them was also a pleasure to work with, responsive, accountable and available to answer any questions I had. Moving forward (no pun intended) should I have to move again, I will work directly with H & G. I can't imagine there is another moving company as skilled as them in Indianapolis. They've made a forever customer out of me and I'm thankful to HireAHelper for connecting me with them.
