The appointment window confirmed was between 9am and 10am arrival. Our moving providers called 5 minutes before 10am to say they were 10-15 minutes out, but arrived at 10:30am.
The moving team members were polite and arrived with a dolly and a moving blanket. We booked 3 hours of time, and were willing to extend to 4 hours if need be, but we had to return the rental truck at 2pm.
Moving items from our 2nd floor walk up to the first floor of our new home, 4 blocks from our apartment, which is also a walk up: refrigerator, 20-25 medium sized boxes and 4 large boxes that were packed and labeled, changing table (light weight from ikea), 2 bed frames broken down taped in pieces, 2 twin sized mattress support boards, a full and a king mattress taped in mattress bags, a Peloton bike, 2 tv (55” & 65”) 2 small dresser frames with 6 collapsible drawers, 4 bar height chairs. There was also a hope chest on an dolly and 3 wardrobe boxes that were already moved to the driveway in front of the apartment.
We extended the reservation by 30 minutes ending the reservation at 2pm because by 12pm the team was not able to load all of the items into the 16’ rental van. We arrived at the new location by 12:30pm. We assisted the team unloading the van and also took items into our house.
The walls in the hallway of our old location were damaged with scratches and scuffs, and the refrigerator door was dented. The efficiency of the move missed the mark and I would not use this service again.
