We hired movers to help us with the unloading of our pod into our apartment. They were running a bit late, but sent an extra person to expedite the job. Corey, Jacob, and Ken could not have worked harder for us that day moving all our things up the stairs. We could have not done the job without them.

The long story short: these movers were very friendly, courteous, and skilled at getting large furniture through tight spots and into the house without damage. They are a good choice for you if your timing is flexible and you are willing to provide a lot of close supervision and direction, or are willing to move things around yourself quite a bit when you get into your house. The longer story: My experience was mixed using Bum Rush. I've used a lot of moving companies over the years and I would say this company is pretty average by comparison. They were unfortunately over 2 hours late for their arrival window, which meant we almost got charged an extra day on our truck and were rushing to return it. I can understand a little lateness, but clearly whoever is handling their schedule did a poor job allowing for travel time between jobs. My advice would be if you've got really tight time constraints, you should make it known upfront and have a plan B. The crew was very friendly and polite and did a really great job handling our big furniture. However, when it came to getting things into the right places, they fell short. Our boxes were very well-labeled with destinations, but as we unpack we're finding more and more boxes were not taken either to the second floor or basement as expected (at this point it's over 12 sizable boxes we've had to carry to other floors of the house). For example, all our clothes boxes wound up in the living room, despite being labeled as Clothes to go in Upstairs Bedroom. Sadly, I didn't see that until they had left. Other moving companies I've used in the past were very conscientious about where things should go, including making sure furniture was well placed. Bum Rush didn't pay much attention to detail in that regard. We have a large bedframe that breaks down into multiple pieces, which wound up leaning haphazardly with each piece against a different wall in one room. One piece was put behind a dresser that was left out in the middle of the room and another wedged between the mattress and box spring, which they then propped against a dog bed to keep from sliding down onto the floor. It meant we had to do a fair amount of juggling to make that room safe and usable. It should've been obvious that putting a piece of a bedframe behind a dresser was not a good place to leave it. Past movers had gathered all pieces together against one wall, making it easier for us to assemble. I was not able to provide the level of supervision to make sure this didn't happen, unfortunately, partially because I was scrambling to get the truck ready to go back. The crew was happy to do whatever was requested, so I think if you are there to direct exactly where things need to go, you'll get a better result.

The 3 young men who helped us move did an excellent job. They had great customer service were timely and very careful with our property. I would use them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing to move.
