Once the movers arrived, they did an excellent job. They were very careful and finished the job in less time than expected. The only frustrating time was getting them scheduled. I had confirmed and paid for a Sat 8-9am arrival, and after 5-6 phone calls, we set up a Fri evening since they were so busy. We agreed to 6pm Fri, they arrived at 8:30, a little upsetting! But they did a great job once they arrived

They were a little later than the arranged time but I was already prepared for this after reading previous reviews and I can understand that probably the majority of the time people underestimate how much time is needed to move their belongings. I know I did! By about an hour!
When they arrived, they had plenty of equipment and were ready to take on the move even with it being the middle of the day and pretty hot. We got off to a little bit of a rough start due to me getting a POD that was not big enough for all my furniture. I think they were a little bit scared to tell me it wasn't going to all fit. But at the end of the day they actually were able to get almost everything in!! Even two large metal clothing racks! I was amazed!!
They worked really hard the whole time and were pretty respectful of the property. I did notice a few scratches on some of the furniture, but in hind sight I could've wrapped those up a little bit better. They were definitely oddly shaped and hard to maneuver.
I would definitely hire them again - and will when it comes time to move the POD stuff into our house in 2 months!

there was a miscommunication with the set up time, so while i was expecting them between 8-9, they were scheduled between 12-2. I had requested 3 workers and only 2 showed up, this made things take longer, but they did take care of us as far as pricing. The movers themselves were very nice and very good. They moved us into PODs and you could tell they were skilled at what they were doing. The experience as a whole was very good.

UMS is a rare gem in this business. Definitely the best moving experience! They delivered on excellent communication all through the process and came prepared to do the job. The movers were incredibly respectful of our furniture and used top notch skills in moving very heavy and over-sized furniture. Additionally, the movers were easy to talk to regarding any questions or next steps. Their professional and interpersonal skills instilled huge confidence and removed all of my moving stress. So, I plan on calling this company in the future. For the first time, I will actually look forward to moving down the road.

There was a miscommunication between the front end and the actual workers, so our morning appointment was pushed to one o'clock. However, the three gentlemen that came to load our belongings in our POD more than made up for their delayed arrival time. They were pleasant (despite 100 degree weather), courteous, diligent in their care of our belongings, went over and beyond to fit as much possible in every square inch. They even managed to move something out of a room where my daughter was sleeping without waking her! I would definitely recommend UMS to friends.

They were very efficient and flexible with my delayed closing. They know the tricks of the trade, like how to get more height out of the PODs roll-up door. These guys were great.
