Relocation with CalState Moving & Storage
We use only our own professional movers and never hire day laborers or temporary help. We do not act as move brokers for another company, so we will not sell your job to another moving company. If you book your job with us, we will see it through to its completion. We never take on more work than we can handle. If we are already booked for the day that you requested, we offer you the nearest available day. We can provide you all needed equipment and packing materials.

This rating is based upon the administrative service provided by the company NOT the actual workers that showed up, the guys were great. I selected "Calstate moving and storage" as my service provider. I agreed to pay for 2 workers for 3 hours. I authorized my credit card to be prepaid for the agreed amount. the workers arrived early, which i did not mind. However, they were not from Calstate moving and storage. I was caught off guard by this. Apparently Calstate contracted with a different company and did not bother to tell me. I am cautious about whom I allow into my home, and a group of workers from a company I have not hired falls into that category. I was also told as they showed up that I would have to pay them cash, which of course i was not willing to do since i had pre-authorized my credit card. The work was finished in less than the 2 hours i paid for, because the workers worked hard, but I received an email requesting that I pay for an additional hour of work. It was frustrating that i had to do more work to ensure that I was not over charged. I am not sure if the error was with Calstate Moving and Storage or HireAHelper so to be safe I will refrain from using either company again and encourage those I know to stay away also.

These 2 young gentlemen were very hard workers. They worked very well together, organized, packed about 80% of my home in only 2 hours!! Definitely recommend these particular movers, however, with the 2nd set of movers a few days later (also from Hire A Helper), they were not even close to these guys!

I have moved so many times in my life and these guys made it so easy. They were on time, they packed fast and efficiently, nothing arrived broken, they were very professional. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Moving is stressful and this company eased my stress tremendously.

This was the worst experience I have had trying to coordinate movers . I had to have my pod loaded and removed the same day . They promised 12-1 they would be ther. The night before they called and said 3-5 , I called hire a helper to let them know that would not work with pick up. Then after they spoke to movers , I received a call saying no problem we will be there 12-1,then they waited until 6 pm and called to say will be there 3-5. Hire a helper was closed then so I called next morning to cancel and find another mover. I hired quick movers and was extremely satisfied they gave me exact time not a window. They were there at 12:00 and everything moved by 2:30, no extras charged.
Before your job was even accepted our representative reached out to you to let you know that the time of arrival would be 2-5 pm not 12-1 pm, and if you are okay with it we can go ahead and book the move. You said that this would be okay with you, and you agreed for the arrival time between 2-4 pm.
Then, on the day before the moving day you called Hireahelper office and told them that you wanted to change the time back to 12-1 pm. Hireahelper representative called us with the conce
