The top movers crew really helped my wife, and I move all our items into a difficult house in Somerville on a tight timeframe after our pod was delivered late. There were extremely flexible and a pleasure to work with. They were very kind to our dog and our belongings. I highly recommend them if you’re moving to Boston, Cambridge or Somerville area.

Three of the four movers were fine. However, one was acting drunk or had just stayed out all night drinking and smelled of alcohol. This one person was goofing off playing my piano, playing with the kids toys, loading things in the pod that weren’t supposed to be loaded. At one point he told me there was plenty of more room for more additional items to go into in the pod, so I was surprised and ok’d for them to put some additional items in which he did. But all of the things that I kindly moved into the garage for them to load weren’t even loaded yet. A lot of my items didn’t make it on to the pod because of this and I was very disappointed. The items I wanted most to move didn’t make it onto the pod. Because of this, I’ll probably either have to sell these items or order another pod. Three of the men were hard-working and did a great job. A garbage can full of garbage was loaded onto the pod that I didn’t authorize and didn’t know about until I unloaded it. Two of the guys loading and the one arranging things into the pod were fine and very polite.

Truthfully this is an unfair rating. I hired two guys for two hours. One of them did excellent work, while the other struggled. They did not use straps or a dolly, and therefore I had the joy of listening to our new washer bounce and scrape its way down the stairs. I gave 3 stars because if you averaged out their work ethic and their caution with others belongings, Its less than ideal. Should be less than 3 stars, but at least one guy showed up and worked.

They were 45 minutes late and upon arrival, they were incredibly slow, doubling the cost of the job due to it taking twice as long to complete. They also damaged the walls of the apartment. They did complete the job and the POD was fully packed in the end.
