I appreciate the flexibility in and ease of scheduling the service. The two gentlemen they sent did an awesome job unloading my U-Pack containers and organized them nicely in the storage unit. They're very respectful, courteous, and efficient. I highly recommend them!

The Pod showed up on time and the driver was excellent. He knew what to do and was very friendly and courteous.
The movers were also excellent. They came prepared, ready to go and were very efficient. They asked appropriate questions, and wrapped up the project quickly.
The only disappointment was they were unfortunately delayed at their prior moving project and arrived about an hour later than anticipated.
Both contractors were friendly, respectful, and efficient. I would definitely recommend them both.

They did a great job, were very friendly, and were careful to note fragile items. Highly recommend.

They showed up early (yeah!) and were shocked by how much we'd already done and said the remainder would definitely not take the two hours we'd paid for. And it did not. A couple of boxes went to the wrong part of the house due to poor direction on our part and they quickly offered to move them to the correct floor. Very pleasant and respectful of my (aging) parents... one of whom was directing the process. Highly recommend!

Firstly, I’m not one to leave reviews, especially negative ones. I’ve chosen to make this a two star instead of a one, exclusively because of the good nature displayed on the day of our service. The two guys who helped us were incredibly kind and patient, and we even sent them off with a few hundred dollars worth of liquor as a thanks. I wish you both the best. I’m sorry you’re wrapped up in this, and hope it does not impact either of you. Justin was kind as well (on day 1 anyways; later is another, tragic, story).
Allow me to say that there were complications with our move that were NOT the fault of the movers and then there were problems that WERE due exclusively to negligence.
-I have never heard of a professional mover who is unable to work a brand new box of ratchet straps (which included instructions). Several instances of struggle with these straps consumed many minutes of our service (which ends up costing US more for their time failures), I even had to come help. When I brought this to their attention, our aforementioned ‘friend’ Justin chose to berate me and lie to me and HireAHelper about the situation. He even went as far as to say that I lied and the ratchet straps were not new. This part doesn’t really matter overall, but I could not believe the audacity of him to LIE over email WITH the contract company CCed, I have email proof, receipts with dates of purchase, pictures of the work done, AND can access video footage of the entire apartment complex from the day of our move. I would HAPPILY send this to anyone considering their service. I have no desire to destroy the livelihood of a business, but I would be INCREDIBLY wary of this behavior.
-Unfortunately, it does not end here. I purchased $200 hundred dollars worth of moving blankets (while already strained financially from a 3,000 mile move from Boston to LA). Not a bad plan, I thought. On more than TEN separate occasions I reminded and requested the men use these blankets to protect my valuables. They were never opened. I have pictures of this as well. I also have receipts, once again of purchase dates, and many witnesses from the day. To no surprise, almost every furniture item in the POD, was heavily scratched beyond our desire to even use again, due not only to their complete refusal to even open the blankets (did I mention it set me back $200, on top of the hundred their service cost me?). Justin completely shrugged this off as well. I couldn’t believe how his attitude shifted.
-And for my final inclusion in this review (not that there isn’t more to add): due to the inefficiency of their packing, we could not even load the POD with the rest of our belongings on the following days. This cost us an additional almost $1,500 to ship items. To me this is unacceptable from a professional moving company. A 16’ POD should MORE than fit a 950 sqft apartment’s worth of items.
This whole process has been physically, mentally, AND emotionally draining, where much of it could have been avoided by all parties had responsibility been taken. We are currently fighting this process, but unfortunately a 3,000 mile move involves a LOT of work and energy and time. We are praying they do the right thing.. so that this portion of the drama ends.
To the three of you guys (assuming you read this) I wish you the best, regardless of this incident. I hope you can learn from this experience so that the livelihood of others is not impacted during a process as stressful as moving already is.
And a final thought just for you Justin, my friend, leadership is taking action and responsibility to be a positive influence on your staff. They deserve better than what you’ve demonstrated to them. I hope at your age you are still willing to grow and better yourself. Best of luck to all of you, and I hope this saves heartache for others in the future.
Warmly,
Ryan

I highly recommend Top Movers. Justin and his team arrived on time and got to work very quickly. They were attentive, worked quickly, and took great care with unloading my many boxes and furniture. I would use them again.
