I was in a tough spot moving my mother in law down to southbflorida from Panama City beach and I called Lumpkin, they arrived on time and saved me space so I didn't have to get another unit. I appreciate it, definitely will be calling them when I need to move

They were supposed to arrive between 9-10am and did not arrive until 10:40am due to problems at the scheduled move before mine. They arrived & got right to work - how they packed some things were a little questionable. I had 24 packing pads to use on the furniture & they maybe used 4-5. We crawled into the truck & wrapped furniture more securely to avoid an scratches etc on the drive. I have found nothing to be broken & have found a few pieces with minor scratches.
Even though they were late they did notify me so I knew that they would be late getting to me. I know it says in the information when scheduling that there is a chance that they would be late due to their schedule and I was understanding of that though & expected my full 2 hours of moving once they got there. There was about 30-minutes left & the movers said they needed to go due to another scheduled move & that client threatening if they didn't show up. We said it was okay since there was minimal boxes left to still be loaded onto the truck.
My only 2 things - schedule bigger gaps between clients to allow for mishaps & drive times and for those clients that schedule later in the day expect that it will not happen exactly at the time you scheduled much like when you are flying. Overall they did a good job & got the job done down 3 flights of stairs!!

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
A customer should have (if not ordered) Moving blankets, shrink wrap, etc. Also Customers should have all breakable items removed from dressers, night stands etc.
What types of moves have you handled?
We’ve handled Local, Long distance, commercial moves, office moves, debree removal, load swaps etc.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part about being a mover is being faced with a strenuous task and completing that task in the presence of a customer.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our training process is basically hands on experience. We have a written format on how we typically load truck. We have our movers study this format until it becomes second nature.
