Lumpkin Enterprises Inc, a family based business that started in 2009 . We are a fast paced, well experienced, insured full service moving company. We have been in business for over 10 years and we've also completed well over 10,000 jobs within a 10 year time frame. Our goal is to provide a very high quality all around service. They were hired specifically for moving furniture and a chest freezer. Yes, they were on time, but that is the only positive about this company. They were very rude and wouldn't listen to anything we told them. For instance, when we told them that the plastic tubbies were not stacked correctly, they ignored us. We used the same brand of tubbies so everything would sit nicely together. However, they put one crooked and then another on top of the crooked. This caused the bottom tubbie lid to crack. It would've been prevented had they listened to one of us when we pointed it out the first time. Also, they damaged/broke 5 pieces so far that I have seen. They snapped a leg off of an expensive armoire when trying to lay it on its side. They shattered the glass bottom of an antique hutch also when laying it on its side. One of the glass doors and intricate woodwork we also shattered in that same piece. They didn't tape any of it, despite us providing it for them. One of the dressers got a deep scratch. A bookcase was destroyed and had to be thrown away. Lastly, I'm not sure how they managed to pop the control panel out of the chest freezer. One last thing to mention, the youngest guy (in his teens) didn't know that using the wrong size screwdriver would strip a screw. The adult had to tell him that he was stripping the screw on my bed frame as they were taking it apart... all while I was Ina my closet packing it up next to them. Yes, they got done with time to spare, but they ended up causing far too much damage on expensive pieces and items that have been in my family for generations. Those items can't be replaced. I expected more professionalism and care than was received. Maybe they'd be fine if just moving to the next town, but I wouldn't recommend them if moving out of state or if you value your belongings.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
A customer should have (if not ordered) Moving blankets, shrink wrap, etc. Also Customers should have all breakable items removed from dressers, night stands etc.
What types of moves have you handled?
We’ve handled Local, Long distance, commercial moves, office moves, debree removal, load swaps etc.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part about being a mover is being faced with a strenuous task and completing that task in the presence of a customer.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our training process is basically hands on experience. We have a written format on how we typically load truck. We have our movers study this format until it becomes second nature.
