The guys were great and on time. Very effective and took strong initiative when necessary. They even made up for lost time when I was running behind. Honestly it was logistical miracle fitting a 10x15 into two relocubes. This was a very stressful project for me and they knocked it out seamlessly.

We had to reschedule because the movers asked us if they could arrive earlier than our original schedule and scheduling this for the afternoon of the following day was beneficial to both us and the movers. They didn't show until that evening and could not give us a time frame of their arrival. The two gentle that moved us were great once they got there. In fact, we had scheduled 4 hours and they completed the move in just under 1 hour. Hire A Helper however, charged us not only the full 4-hour fee, but also a rescheduling fee. They "escalated" my issue to a service rep named Oscar. Unfortunately, noone answers their phone at Hire A Helper, so all I can do is leave messages that are not returned in a timely manner. To compound the issue, since the movers arrived so late, we were drastically inconvenienced concerning the movers that we had scheduled on the other end at the time we had previously booked. Now, there is a $280 cancellation fee to THAT side, also. We will not ever work with them again. We also will never work with Lumpkin Enterprises either.
Update: The movers have completely mis-represented our conversation regarding the rescheduling. Additionally, Hire A Helper agreed to refund my 2 hours that was over-charged to me and they only refunded $65, not the $280 they charged. DO NOT USE THIS MOVER OR HIRE A HELPER IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

Mover's response:
Movers were set to move client on specific date and on that date customer informed movers that she couldn’t move and needed to reschedule. Movers informed customer that movers had prior booked moves for next date and would have to service customer in the evening. Customer was fully aware that movers had moves booked but chose to keep order active. Movers loaded customer that evening as they scheduled. Movers aren’t responsible for customers canceling on day of move (as time is booked and accounted for) movers tried to accommodate customer the best they could. We’re sorry that things didn’t work out on day of your move and with your crew on opposite end. Movers were on time and ready the day of move. Thanks

An all around professional experience.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

A customer should have (if not ordered) Moving blankets, shrink wrap, etc. Also Customers should have all breakable items removed from dressers, night stands etc.

What types of moves have you handled?

We’ve handled Local, Long distance, commercial moves, office moves, debree removal, load swaps etc.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

My favorite part about being a mover is being faced with a strenuous task and completing that task in the presence of a customer.

What training do you provide your crew members?

Our training process is basically hands on experience. We have a written format on how we typically load truck. We have our movers study this format until it becomes second nature.
