They were on time. However, only 2 small guys and they didn't have proper equipment. Only brought one small dolly. We have a very large curio cabinet with lots of glass. Because we were concerned about them handling this, we decided to have them move it in our office. However, it SHOULD have been moved to our storage POD. My husband actually had to remove door moulding on the top of the door, so this cabinet would fit in our office. Also, my husband had to make several suggestions on how to move something (turn on its side, etc). We feel the crew was not very experienced. We're disappointed and do NOT want this same crew to do our unload back into our house when the time comes. We would feel much better if we got a discount, that you take off the $80.00 and cents and we would an even $300.00. I would like to have you see this curio cabinet, would like to attach a photo of it. Now it's in our way, in our office for a good month or longer! Should have been moved but with this crew, it would have been damaged. It would require 3-4 STRONG guys to have carried out of our house, down the driveway to our POD. This was all discussed when we set up this move and so, there's been either a misunderstanding of disconnect of what our move required.

These guys were great! I used Hire a Helper on both sides of my move and they made it stress free. They were on time, informed me along the way of the progress and worked with me to make my items accessible. Would always use them.

Showed up on time and worked hard. However both movers complained quite a bit and did not listen to what items were most important to be moved first. Both smelled of Cannabis smoke and there was damage to both the stairwells. They did not a knowledge the damage before leaving. Did not feel they were very professional at their job.

On time, courteous, respectful of our property too. The 2 helpers managed the stairs while carrying some heavy furniture and didn't once hit a doorway or wall. Boxes and furniture were placed where we asked. We hired 2 different crews, 2 different states for loading and unloading, and would highly recommend this service.

We paid for 2 helpers for 2 hours. 1 helper, Chris, showed up, we asked about the other helper. Chris stated we were charged by the hour, not the number of helpers, so there would be no discount/refund of funds already paid. After an hour, Chris, on his cell phone, right in front us, declared that he would be at his next job soon, as he’d be done with us in about 5 minutes. We told him we had a lot more stuff to do. He ended up staying the 2 hours .
We contacted Hire a helper about only 1 person showing up, they refunded us accordingly.

Both Chris and Henry worked hard. We had several pieces of furniture which were far too heavy for us to move. They made it happen without hesitation. They were able to empty our 16’ pod completely. Overall, it was a great experience.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
After booking with us you can expect a confirmation that will go over all the details of the job and make sure we are prepared for your move!
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
On the day of moving my crew will send an eta text letting you know how long it will take them to get there. Once they arrive they will do a walk through with you and you can show them what you are expecting to get done. My team lead will assess it and figure out how they can best get it done. They will make sure you are good with everything and see if you have any questions!
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
You can prepare by having all your boxes packed and sealed shut, have any furniture wrapped or secured tightly. We can assist with wrapping furniture if needed!
What types of moves have you handled?
We have done all sorts of moves. Anything from local, long distance, office moves, storage units, residential, warehouse and much more. We have seen it all!
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part about being movers is meeting new people all the time. I love getting to make connections with people and being there to support them on such a special day. Moving can be an amazing thing and a hard thing for some, so I love being the one to make the process as easy and as relaxing as it can be.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our crew members receive an online course that shows them the basics of how to properly lift and handle peoples belongings. We then bring them on a job to shadow our team lead and watch the correct way to get things done. Once they have an understanding we will get them on a smaller job where they can start slow and ask questions. The more practice the better they can get!
