INSURANCE through Hireahelper covers goods while being handled by our helpers up to $.60 per pound (policy must be activated by completing an inventory form). Full coverage insurance also available through Hireahelper. We'll never leave you stranded! If late we'll send extra helpers to make up time at no cost when possible. Only one mover, David, showed up. David was on time and worked hard and carefully.
Once we got in contact we turned him back since you indicated you and David could complete the job. He would have shown up.

I cannot recommend Eric and Shaw highly enough! They moved all my stuff down from my apartment and expertly packed it into my tiny truck. I’m so grateful for their help with my move. It certainly helped reduce my stress a great deal.

Phillip arrived on time and had also contacted me the morning of to make sure the move was still happening. He was careful with our furniture and boxes. We had 6 flights of steps to go up and down during the process, and I never heard any complaints.

These guys got a full list of what I needed them to move- there were no surprises. But they were not able to move my standard furniture and appliances- claimed it was to heavy.
Did not show up on time.
Did not have a manager to coordinate the lifting- 2 guys worked, 1 guy was loafing around.
I kept reaching out to Hire A Helper throughout this disastrous day, but they only made empty promises and did not help me. Definitely don't use PROMOVE, but better yet, don't book through Hire A Helper at all.
Moving from one building to the next on the same block no truck up & down 8 flights of stairs in the summer heat is brutal! 4 flights at the old house moving to 4 flights of stairs is a job for at least 5 men. The guy you said was loafing was the middle man on the stairs working. They were too burnt out to move all the heavy furniture after moving boxes & about 100 huge 10lb books. I almost pulled that crew from the job. I know you're paying for them to work but they are human & that workload was just too much. We even sent fresh guys towards the end to try to help.

Excellent experience with PROMOVE. Great communication right up to the move-in day. Movers showed up on time and worked so hard! It was a 4th floor walk up so it wasn’t an easy move, but both Oliver and David worked with a smile on their face regardless of how brutal I knew the move was.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Your move date is set! Contact for details and any necessary instructions
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We always show up! On time arrival within the first 20 minutes of the one hour window, with an experienced, professional and courteous crew.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Please have items packed and ready to go (large boxes not too heavy please), furniture blankets to protect your stuff, appropriate size truck for the move. Then wooosah! we got you, you're things are in capable hands.
What types of moves have you handled?
Local, Long distance, Office, Commercial, Specialty moves (larger & fragile and very expensive medical equipment).
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
No gym membership needed, we get paid to exercise. Our worksite is different everyday & we interact with new people.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Two weeks of moving technique (lifting, turning, angles), teamwork, pacing, basic disassembly/reassembly and materials handling as well as customer service is our basic training. Then our most experienced movers ( Courtney, Eric, Yusef, Azar, Kirk) have advanced training for loading moving vans.
