Horrible service, Didn't show up on time, I used them 2x's within a week. Late both times, worked kind of hard the first hire, because the boss was with them. Rude, one of the hired helpers told me I should put my dog in a closet.. I had purchased mattress protective bags for the moved asked the men very nicely to please put them on the beds before putting them in the pod, they only used 1 bag, the other two mattresses and box spring, they didn't bother. I always asked please and replied with a thank you, when asking them to do something.. There were a few small requests, that they said yes to but then they never followed through. Like please hand me the key to the grandfather clock so I can put it in the box with the clock weights. I hope he didn't leave it in his pocket!!!!! Or in the clock, I didn't want the key to get lost or broken in the clock during the long move... Could have packed the units better tons of wasted space. Seemed they enjoyed not keeping the rooms together when packing the pods. I was told good luck organizing and finding everything when unpacking.. Second time I used them awful,, much worse the second time,, the boss wasn't with them to babysit.... Showed up late, Left a half hour early and I paid for a full 3 hour service. LAZY
I tipped them extremely well the first day, since they took it upon themselves to leave early the second time, I didn't. However they still got their FULL 3 hour pay from Southern Cross Movers. For only working 2 1/2hrs..
I would never recommend this company to any one.
Shipment of my units are coming soon, we'll see what happens from there, if I have any more nightmares from this company..
They were recommended by Hire a Helper. I paid Hire a Helper for the first show, I swear I booked the move through Hire a Helper the second time as well. Only to find out at the end of the day, I had to pay Southern Cross Movers directly... Weird!!!!!

Brian and his assistant were on time, friendly, respectful & courteous. They unpacked our truck quickly. They did ding one wall but overall were very careful. Brian put together our sleigh bed frame but had to use my tools. Very professional."

The guys were on time, very professional and personable. They treated me and my possessions with the utmost respect and care. They had no issues with my indecisiveness on where to place the boxes and were more than amenable to moving furniture around until it was how I wanted it (no easy task). One of the crew actually repaired some scratches and gouges on my furniture which happened when the other previous movers packed the POD. And all this was accomplished in less time than I had hired for. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Upon booking us we will reach out with a courtesy call upon accepting your order and getting details about your move. We will also be available to answer any questions you may have and give you helpful information on how to prepare for moving day.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We give all our customers a call once the movers are ready to leave their meeting location with a GPS arrival window and if needed bring any last minute supplies.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Box up all miscellaneous items such as lamps, pictures and small items. If needed we can supply packing materials and labor. Make sure they have all personal items they need for their trip put aside, such as guns, cash, medication, jewelry, and personal items needed during transit.
What types of moves have you handled?
We travel all over the U.S.A and have loaded shipping containers to go all over the world. If it needs to be moved we can get it there, worldwide.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part about this business is helping people that don't have the time or physical ability to do it themselves. I hear from a lot of our customers how they moved themselves so many times but are just to old to do it anymore. That is we come in for their first experience with paid movers to show them how stress free it can be at an affordable price.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members are ran through a wrapping and loading class at our warehouse before going on their first job. Proper technique on wrapping furniture to minimize damage and then loading of trucks,pods, and storage units.
