The big picture is that our possessions ended up in the storage pod without significant damage. However there were several things that did not meet our expectations with Them Movers.
When I was booking this service, I specifically discussed over the phone with the company rep that I would need plastic wrap for a few items to protect and secure them. This is also listed as one of the "included" items on the mover page. When the movers showed up, they said they were never told to bring plastic wrap. They said that they usually bring rope, but that they had forgotten it that day and didn't realize they had forgotten it until they were nearly at our home. I luckily had my own ratchet straps available to secure our items, otherwise I would have been making another home depot run and delaying our move.
Unfortunately wish I didn't have to mention this, but I regret not booking the very first time slot of the day. The movers showed up drenched in sweat from the first move they had already completed at a different address. I am pretty easy going and wouldn't normally be bothered by this, but our storage pod literally smelled of body odor from the movers more than two days after the move. To add insult to injury, at one point one of the movers put on my hiking backpack (again his back drenched in sweat) and he told me he was jealous of my backpack.
Again big picture everything ended up where it needed to be in the pod, but I think in the future I would book the first move of the day to avoid similar issues, and would like there to be better confirmation and expectations about provided moving supplies.

Sam and Robert did a great job helping us move our stuff from storage cubes into our house. They were efficient and finished the job quickly, despite working with an injury. However, I was disappointed in the reservation process. I was given a time frame in which they would arrive and I called to confirm twice. But on move day, the movers did not show up within the window. I called and was told they needed to dispatch a new team to me. They arrived around noon which was 2-3 hours after the window I was given. I'm glad the job was completed but still frustrating to be waiting around when I had taken the day off work

The 4 men who came were great! They worked hard, they were pleasant and respectful. Scott did most of the loading of our pod, and he was terrific. We were so grateful for their help!

I had a pod they the two guys packed up. I asked them if they had packed one before. They said yes. So I trusted they’d do a good job. I stayed in the Apt and went down when they were done… they packed it all ****ed up! Nothing made sense of how the hell anyone taught them how to pack. I just pray none of my items get damaged! If you use them I would show them how you want it packed, because if I had the time, I would of had them re pack the whole thing!

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Pack any boxes needed prepared. We do assembly and disassembly. If everything is disassembled it will take less time to load trucks and containers. Buy or rent moving blankets.
What types of moves have you handled?
We handle personal moves into trucks, storage and shipping containers. We provide in home services for things such and preparing a room to get floors redone etc. We do full office moves and business moves.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We get to help others!! We make someone's life a bit easier.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We keep crew leads on site to reassure everyone knows instruction and conduct everything properly.
