I hired 2 mover for 2 hours to unload a 16ft container into a 1700SF home with 1 flight of stairs. No oversized furniture, just basic home decor - sofa, kitchen table, console, mattresses, etc. Josh and Richard did show up on time however within about 20 minutes Richard was ‘taking a breather’ and was nowhere to be found. This left Josh unable to proceed with the heavier pieces causing a standstill because nothing else could be unloaded until those were removed. Once Richard returned (clearly winded and apparently unwell) they moved one large piece and afterwords I found him doubled over in the garage gasping for breath and very red, sweating profusely. I was so concerned I asked if he needed medical assistance, which he refused. When I commented to Josh that this many was clearly unable to perform the duties at hand he had no reaction and dismissed my concern. To get the job done, myself and my daughter had to start unloading the container ourselves. It took approximately 10 minutes for them to carry my king size mattress from my garage to the bedroom with 3 stops for the older man to catch his breath - this is not an exaggeration. Beware of this company…confirm the age and physical capability of who they are sending you. Josh and Richard denied having any problem, despite the fact that I have 2 witnesses and video and images of the ordeal. I don’t trust companies who don’t own up to their mistakes. At MOST I got 1.5 movers even though I paid for 2. Super disappointed in J&E Movers. I recommend choosing a different company.

An hour and 45 min late but completed the job with problems. Paid for 2 hours and it only needed about 45 min.

Very considerate and friendly, especially since we weren’t completely ready. They helped in every way they could, including a couple of items that were heavy and in tricky locations.
They also showed me how to secure boxes and other things we put in after they left.
Highly recommend them and would use them again.

I am grateful for the help I received with moving but this company lacked professionalism and proper communication. I was told they would arrived between 2 and 3. I received a phone called around 3:30 saying that they were on the way. During the period of time they were supposed to be arriving, I was calling other companies to see if I could get help. I'm glad these movers finally let me know they were coming.
When they arrived, I was taken aback by their attire which were dirty tshirts. I was at first unsure if I should let these guys into my place. They were nice and very helpful but it would've added to the service had they arrived on time and were hygienic. I found myself during the service moving my own things because it felt the movers were going too slow.
My final complaint is that the owner of the company could be better about coordinating with customers and letting them know ahead of time what workers will be arriving and when.
I would not use this company again.
