By the time movers arrived at 11:30 they worked for less than an hour

I hired help from what I thought was I legitimate business with full time staff who had experience in the work I required from them, however this would soon prove to be wrong. The first “helper” arrived a few minutes late and the next arrived about 45 minutes late, once myself and the first helper had already offloaded half the truck. They obviously had no idea how to treat or offload people’s belongings, as they were dragging furniture and beds across the floor, damaging them, while banging furniture into door frames trying to fit them through. This was extremely frustrating to watch after our packers had taken care with our belongings when leaving Michigan. The icing on top was when the extremely late helper asked me if I was the one hiring him or the guy on the phone was the one hiring him?! I responded with I paid for a service online and you are what rocked up… Then the slightly late helper let me know that they had never met the guy who hired them and he had just responded to a job post on Craigslist… this was a big surprise to me. Once the offloading was done and it was time for the two disgruntled “Craigslist Employees” to leave, the very late one phoned the guy who had hired him and asked how much he was going to be paid (on speaker phone) and I heard the guy on the other side of the phone respond with $16.00 an hour… This really upset the very late Craigslist Employee and was a surprise to me as I had paid $150.00+ for the service. With that in mind, it did not bother me, as their quality of service matched their pay. The very late Craigslist Employee then told me that he would not leave until he was paid by his “Online Employer” and that I should call him to make sure he was paid. I did, then he finally left. So in closing, if you choose to use this service, you should know that you never know who is going to show up at your place, and neither does the employer you have chosen to use. So there is little to no security to you or your belongings. I went for the cheaper option when it came to offloading my belongings, however in the future I will pay a premium for better service. You definitely do get what you paid for.

Marcus did a great job. I requested that he be paid for 4 hours but the last I heard, the supervisor only paid him for 2 hours. He was the only worker that showed up and he worked for 3 and 1/2 hours but there no way for me to pay just one individual via your software tool. Thank you for your assistance in this pay issue.

Only 1 guy showed up, he was great. Went beyond helpful ro get us moved. Other guy showed up late and was ok.
I don't like that they were hired thru a 3rd party. They charge extra for who knows what($80). Then on hirehelp site it said extra hours were $70. I was charged $80.

They arrived a little late due to traffic and location of home. They did call to update arriving time. Upon arriving they we right to work as I laid out a plan for efficiently unloading the truck.
Truck was unloaded in the two hours time frame! Both men knew their jobs well. And they both did take care as they moved furniture and boxes.

We charge an extra 10% for same day requests.
Next Day Moves
We accept next day requests at our normal rates.
Refunding Unused Time
We do not refund for any unused time.
Extra Hours
We can always stay at least 1 hour over the prebooked time.
