"Kevin, moving is not a work-for-tips business model, and I consider it reprehensible that you force your workers to rely on tips so that you can take the lion’s share of the revenue. Had I known that in the beginning, I would not have been a party to this. You make $91/hr for 2 people which is $45.50/hr/worker…there is plenty of money there to pay them a decent wage and for you to run multiple crews and make a living as well. Tips are earned, not asked for.
And when you, as the owner, are part of the crew, you do not handle business on the phone constantly (all caught on camera) to the detriment of the hourly work expected by the customer. We had an agreement thru Hire-A-Helper to load every Saturday, and you unilaterally changed that to Sunday without informing me.
Your customer interaction skills are lacking, even after I tried to help you out by accommodating your request of working directly with you so that you were making $130/hr rather than $91/hr…but that did not seem to figure in your equation. Ray was the most redeeming part of this whole encounter.
As a result, you have missed out on the next 2-3 loads here locally, and the next 6-7 unloads at the destination…I have found other resources to move forward with. I would recommend that you reassess your approach to the job."

I don't give **** you are cheap, partially racist & and narcissistic ????I didn't want to do business with you anyways. I make 15k-30k a month doing this moving ****. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR KEVIN (PURPORTEDLY THE OWNER OF K&M MOVERS) TO ATTEMPT TO INTIMIDATE ME WITH TEXTS CONTAINING VEILED THREATS AND HARASS ME WITH PHONE CALLS. WE ARE NOW CONSIDERING WHETHER TO FOLLOW UP WITH A POLICE REPORT AS THIS BEHAVIOR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

If you want a crew that’s communicative, on time, fast (but careful with your stuff) and very friendly, hire Kevin & his crew!!! We moved from another state and didn’t know who to pick to help us move once we got into CA. We found KM North Moving Services through Hire-A-Helper and couldn’t have been happier!! They did a wonderful job loading everything quickly into our shipping container. They knew what they were doing and how to wrap everything and place everything in the pod to ensure everything stayed in place and didn’t maintain damage during transport.
