the original guys had problems at another job, the guys that showed up...felt bad because they were obviously tired and one guy had some serious issues going on with his baby or family. All of these issues became our problem as a result. It was a stressful day and a lot of wasted time waiting and waiting and waiting....when we could have been taking care of other things outside the home.

The two helpers who finally came and unloaded our shipping container were very good - polite, efficient, careful, and of course very strong. But the administrator almost totally dropped the ball. When no helpers arrived at the appointed time, I called Maybaum, and discovered that there was a mix-up (exactly what I don't know) and I was told he would call me back shortly. Two hours later, I called again and told him that I would have to cancel if I didn't get a call back in 10 minutes. I was in a serious time bind and had to find alternative help. 20 minutes later, I received a call from a fellow and about 90 minutes later, this caller and a partner arrived. They had no equipment, not even a hand truck, and carried everything by sheer strength. They got the job done in less than an hour (there was actually not all that much stuff), but I would have never contracted this company if I had known how dicey it would turn out to be.
