Concerning for safety and Integrity.
My move was for a short term, storage placement pending my move into another apartment within 19 days.
My movers came and there was (1) 42 yo male, and (1). 41 yo male
I ‘m very young looking 61 yo female , from the very beginning the younger was talking about his personal business,
I did share my age when was commenting on how fast I was moving around the apt.
His Grandmother and I are the same age
Also I shared my 3 children ages are the same and older.
He continues chat with me throughout the time we are staging things to the door for the Other mover to load in the truck.
I don’t remember his name
The older guy was Quinni and they were related via Quinni’s cousin/the other one’s GF.
The entire move the younger mover was inappropriately behaving “flirting”, I believe he felt he was complimenting me. Not at All it was somewhat Disrespectful. For the fact of he knew that I was
old enough to be his Grandmother!
It went Even to extent of texting me later that day, “could he come over to see me”
That Made me feel extremely uncomfortable
I did block his # from my phone.
By 10 pm it was a long day, it was agreed that we would stop
They were not able to complete my job that day. It got late in the evening, the younger guy also became irritated and belligerent
It stating
“ He didn’t care where my things went and started tossing things everywhere, any kind of way!”
Again not completing the job!
We left the storage facility.
The older guy agreed to return the next day.
Earlier that evening , I had already given them $50 cash tip.
So it gets better,
The next day when the older guy returns his name was Quinni
He is 42 yo, I only add his age to state he was the older of the 2; he gave the impression that he was a professional. And could be trusted…
So He and I work on completing the job.
At some point he comes to me , we are working between 2 units . And I’m trying to monitor and assist .
He states that he broke a pretty expensive expensive silver floor lamp with 3 crystal beaded shades. It was about 60 days since I purchased it and transported in the back of my Lexus truck
It was delicate only because of the dangling (3) crystal beaded shades.
It was very solid quality….I could have believe him if he stayed that broke 1 of the
globes/ shades
And they were separately Bubble wrapped and shrink wrapped too!
But
Quinni stated as he showed me the damage & He said that pole just “snapped “ in half.
That was not True , he snapped in half
Exactly where he stated it could be fixed by him!
I was very disappointed, he then stated that it could easily welded. I told to just stand it in a corner /against a wall of the storage unit.
Of course , I got a distracted because the unit was too small for my things, I got another right around the adjacent hallway the previous night.
It was reall difficult.for me to keep my eyes on him.
And he was back and forth downstairs loading and unloading
And was very easy for him to just take back down the elevator & put in his cat!
It is no where with things.
I realized that it was long gone once I moved my stuff out of storage 19 days later.
I didn’t use “Hire A Helper” because the overall Quality and Experience of the movers. I scheduled movers from Uhaul Moving labor Help.com.
My experience with “Chap’s Professional Movers “
Was not Professional at All
They were Predatory, Insppropriate and Thieves
I hope that they are NOT contracted by a woman again….

I didn’t feel safe. As a woman, alone and my BTW my Profession is Nursing, I sm very caring and compassionate person

it is not a good feeling to have someone having access to ALL of your personal items, your home address, phone number and just being Vulnerable to people just checking out what they can take from you….
And the BEHAVIOR of the other mover who had my cell # to reach out to me, & his communication with was to be Onlly to be about moving logistics…
Just Unsafe!
He used it to make inappropriate advances at me via text!
To the point, I BLOCKED his #
Moving is a difficult time, I became ill during this move , It has been a slow unpacking.
And they Broke 1 of my Samsung TV’s.. My TV where in UHAUL TV boxes
Covered with moving quilts l, Bubble wrapped, & shrink wrapped.
I am a former Hilary spous for 18 yrs, Travel Nurse never had a moving experience similar to this one
Not a TV ever damaged.
As they entered the 1st, Yhey commented of how meticulous my things were packe
And said usually they come and the persons stuff is just thrown in boxes or just carried to the truck.
And I had everything Garment. TV boxes, bubbled and shrink wrap. Paper and dish packs etc
Organized.
I am certain that my TV was damaged when the other mover went into his rant and started tossing my stuff and into the units with NO care or concern

Terrible service. Alot of items were severely damaged. careless and no respect for my property or my items. Failed to completely wrap all furniture. They were in a huge hurry to finish and leave. Kept asking them to be careful with the items, and my floors. They arrived a few minutes early which was fine. They were the worse movers I ever had. I would never use them again and would not recommend them
