I often reached the voicemail of Logan Express when trying to get in touch with the moving company before and at the time of my appointment. Their mailbox was also full making it impossible to leave a message for callback. My condo association wanted a COI from the movers and when I got in touch with Logan Express to ask about it, I was told to tell my condo association it was just friends and family helping me move and the movers could come in plain clothes.
On moving day, there was an unexpected delay getting the truck from UHaul. I called head and when I finally got in touch with Logan Express, I asked them to come closer to the end of my appointment arrival time window, and he said he would accommodate. Then as it go closer to my appointment time my friend and I tried calling several times to get an estimate of when thier arrival would be but no one answered the phone. When they arrived my friend was trying to locate where they were and they said we have 15 minutes until our appointment would be cancelled. I tried to call them back several times, but again, no answer. Instead I got a call from HireAHelper saying they had the moving company on the phone, who are saying I am a no show for me appointment. I explained to them my friend could not find them in the front or back of my apartment
The owner of the company himself was present when I finally met up with them. He claimed he saw my calls coming through, but did not answer because he was on the phone with HireAHelper. He prioritized getting “proper documentation” of a no show appointment rather than communicating with the customer to clarify a meeting point. I lost about 20 minutes of my moving appointment to this ordeal. Be aware that the time truly starts the second they “arrive” whether they have located you or not.
Moving is stressful. That I expected, but especially the owner should be more courteous. The movers during packing were efficient and most of my things were packing in the truck during my appointment. The back of the truck was packed high compared to the front and things fell over the second I pulled out. A few items were broken/damaged.
Honestly after using another moving company to unpack the truck. I recommend hiring another company that can at least communicate effectively and courteously.
