2 young guys arrived on time and went right to work wrapping and loading the Uhaul....it was a horribly hot humid day but they did very well despite the weather! we did have cold bottled water for them tho and they sure appreciated that....job well done!

They were on time, prepared and worked hard on a very hot day. They brought up anything that would be of concern. It took them 1 hour to unload the pod. They were paid for up to 2 hours.

The two men were on time and eager to get started. They worked fast and had great personalities. They were careful with my possessions. The only negative (and this is not a negative on the workers) is they need to be trained in the proper loading and stacking of a trailer or moving truck. They needed to be instructed on how to protect the headboard by using the box springs and mattress, weight distribution and tightly packing furnishings to keep them from shifting during transit.

I want to start this by letting you know that I am a small business owner. I am not someone who writes bad reviews for sport. I'm doing this because I feel compelled to let others know about the experience I had with this company, so that you are warned before booking them. Speaking on the phone to a representative of HireAHelper, I hired a crew to help clean out my barn. When the rep asked how long I wanted to reserve the crew for, I said it might take 2-3 hours, so he booked 3 hours to ensure they had the time reserved if it was needed. When the crew arrived, they were very courteous and did a great job. At 1 hour 45 minutes, they came to me and said they were almost done. I asked them to do a few more things and by 2 hours they were finished. At that point, they checked their phone and told me the cost would be for the 3 hours. I told them to call their boss because that was not my understanding. After a lot of verbal shuffling, I could see this needed to be resolved at a higher level. I paid the full amount online and told the guys to go (after tipping each of them in cash), and said I would take it up with their boss. I immediately called HireAHelper and they pointed out to me in the fine print that CREW4 had a policy that once a time frame was booked, you had to pay even if you didn't use the time. Thinking that was unfair, on May 30 I called Garret, who apparently owns CREW4. I explained what happened and he said that it was actually HireAHelper who has that policy. He agreed that he would refund me the hour his crew didn't work less the 15% that HireAHelper charges him. The check never came. Since May 30, I have called him 4 times to remind him, and have never gotten a return call. If you want to use this site and moving crew, be warned.
