The crew that arrived did an amazing job - they worked hard & were very pleasant. Loved working with them! They called ahead to let us know their schedule. Due to rain at their previous job they came 2 1/2 hours late. Unfortunately for us this was 7:30 pm and we had to work the next day. We were disappointed, as we had paid for 3 workers for 3 hours and only two arrived. They did get the job done with our help the whole time. I’m wondering if we still needed to pay that amount with only two workers? There was a request to complete the payment that night, and we didn’t want to delay them so we went ahead & paid. Thanks for helping us!

The two men arrived on time. First, I showed the men what need to be moved and where. The guys did a great job! They were very careful while moving each article to ensure no damage to the item and the walls and other obstructions in the house. I was very pleased with the service. I would highly recommend Hire A Helper.

I hired 4 movers but only 3 showed up. My invoice was adjusted for 3 movers, but that wasn't what I had originally requested. The quality of their equipment was lacking their 1 dolly and 1 handtruck both broke. The workers were ok, but I wound up cutting the length of time from 5 to 3 hours because they weren't as organized as I'd hoped. I requested a refund for the 2 unused hours, but was misinformed that it wasn't allowed by Hire a Helper. Hire a Helper subsequently clarified this was not their policy but rather SMF's policy.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The customer should try to have all boxes properly sealed, dresser drawers emptied if possible. have boxes staged in one location, also to have all needed materials such as moving blankets , shrink wrap and tape.
What types of moves have you handled?
My company has handled various residential moves, long distance ,storage units ,ABF trailers, loading and unloading of PODS ,and office relocation.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of being a mover is helping people eliminate the anxiety that's comes on moving day.
What training do you provide your crew members?
My crew has been trained in proper lifting techniques and well as furniture preparation,packing and customer service. .
