The movers were named Will and Mick. I cannot express what a wonderful job they did and what marvelous people they both were. They were EXTREMELY professional and pleasant. In addition, their contact person, William Lloyd, was more than accommodating when I had scheduling conflicts and he was so pleasant. I cannot say enough positive things about the 2 movers and William Lloyd. I would, without a doubt or second thought, recommend this company. You will NOT EVER be sorry you hired them.

Firstly, William from Affordable Movers told me he'd be bringing a ramp for tractor trailer I rented. He did not. Secondly, four men were scheduled through Hire A Helper and two men and one girl showed up. Thirdly, they did not finish the job when extra hours were scheduled. I released their funds for what work they had done even though they charged for four people, thinking they were returning the next morning between 9 and 10:00 to finish. They left all the heavy furniture and appliances to be moved the following day . Needless to say, they didn't call or show. We were closing on this house the next day and it was imperative that we be out. We were forced to find another mover on short notice and emergency basis costing us $518. I had a feeling from the git go with this guy as he didn't return phone calls. I should have gone with my gut feelings. As far as their work, satisfactory, but I still had to watch them as they got sidetracked with their juvenile conversations with each other. They also showed up a half hour late, spent a half hour evaluating the items to be moved and charging me for the hour they didn't do a thing but talk with the gift of gab. Recommend them? Good heavens, NO!

The guys were great. I needed help because it was only me and I couldn't move everything. I had them bring my boxes into the truck and pack my furniture in there.
We drove the truck to my storage unit and they unloaded it and packed my storage perfectly.
They were really careful, they asked questions, they worked really fast, they were cool and most of all were really careful packing and loading my stuff so nothing was damaged.
I liked the payment process with this hireahelper website because I only paid after the work was done. It was all by text message and worked fine.
A+++ 100% satisfied would definitely use again!!

Affordable Professional Movers are exactly that - affordable and professional. These two guys arrive on time ready to go to work. They are quality movers who treat your furniture and your home with the respect and consideration you desire. They expertly navigated difficult stairs and corners with heavy pieces of furniture. These guys are great. Definitely would use them again and highly recommend them.

Both helpers were professional, courteous, considerate and careful. Their expertise in packing enabled us to get all our belongings into the two PODS. They were very efficient, worked hard and got done way ahead of schedule. They took precautions to protect the belongings and the doors/walls of the house. We would definitely recommend them and use them again. We hope they are the same team that will unpack us.

They arrived on time and called ahead. There were three people. They were friendly however they did break my microwave plate when they moved it. The one mover didn't wear his gloves and got cut and had to stop. My husband did help and they finished the job on time. My husband stated that he caught someone picking something up off the floor and placing it in their pocket. It could have been nothing or it could have been something. He wasn't sure. They did move what we asked them to move and they did work less hours than we expected. I thought we would get an hour back for cutting the time short or some refund for the broken item. I didn't see the inventory insurance list until too late. They did a good job of packing our pod and tried to the best of their knowledge to fill it completely.

Late the first day, rescheduled for the following day, hoping to be on the road at a decent time, late again by a couple hours. (Ended up delaying our departure to the following day) Then asked for payment for an hour longer than they took. When the truck was unloaded, found several items unwrapped and/or damaged. I understand shifting in transit, but there was a tv between a toolbox and a table, thankfully unbroken. I will say this, they did manage to get everything from two houses on one truck tho.
