Henry Moving Company handled my recent local move which I booked thru HireAHelper. Henry and his helper arrived early for a 9:00 a.m. move. We had done all of our own packing and they set to work packing the truck the moment they came thru the door. They were careful, courteous and fast. We made a stop at a local storage locker (which was included in the estimated time). At the receiving end, all the furniture ended up in the right place and all the boxes ended up exactly as marked. They did a great job. I happy recommend them to others.

Best movers I ever worked with, two very able and smart young men who got the job done, very reliable and expert at getting the truck packed. They saved our bacon and I tipped generously because they deserved it.
MAKE SURE MOVER HAS CORRECT PHONE NUMBER. I write this because our mover had my wife's work cell and we didn't give that one to Hire a Helper so we think HaH snagged it with their computer when she called in to make the reservation. We almost lost our mover because when they showed up they kept calling a number we didn't even use. Luckily we called them and got it straightened out.

Henry helped me move on the hottest day of the year in DC. Neither he nor his helper complained or asked for a break - even when the job took twice as long as I had guessed. They worked incredibly hard and efficiently. I will use Henry Moving Company again.

Overall very good service. Maurice, the lead mover was especially helful, volunterring several times to help with tasks I was doing myself. He wrapped my expensive cherry and marble furniture very well. Chris the support mover seemed to be new, and not good at wrapping furniture or moving furniture, but Maurice was instructing him and keeping an eye on him, so it worked out. Maurice is also very muscled so he was able to move the heavy furniture down 3 flights of stairs without much difficulty. It's something to keep in mind if you have very heavy furniture. They arrived 30 minutes early and was very pleasant to work with.
The only drawback is that Henry Moving Co does not offer a refund if the movers finishes earlier then estimated. My move finished 1.5 hrs early. You may wish to underestimate your move time for the prepay portion of the move, then pay by the hour for actual time beyond estimate. I give them 4 out of 5 stars because I've worked with fantastic movers in the past and these guys were very good but not as good as those others. Jennifer.

My 2nd time using Henry's Moving Company. Still another amazing job. Arrived early, again, started immediately. I had to force them to take a 20min lunch break. They unpacked and set-up furniture. Great job, again.

Wow.... These guys are GREAT!!!! Appointment was at 9am, they were here at 8:30 ready to go. My block of time was for 6hrs. The job was completed in 4hrs. Took extra care with my belongings. Even gave me some pointers. Very courteous and professional. You would do yourself a disservice to hire anyone else. I know I will not hire anyone else to assist me.
