This is the third time I have used Samuel Services to move in the DC area. I highly recommend Wualter and his crew - they are friendly and very importantly they move quickly and with care and caution. Excellent staff !

I thought long and hard about whether or not to leave a review, and that is why I'm posting a month after my move. I have to say was rather disappointed with the movers. I read their previous reviews and was willing to give the guys a chance. But that was my first mistake, the 3 main 'bones of contention' I have are:
- 1) The pessimistic attitude. He walk in and the first words out of his mouth are, "I don't think it's all going to fit." and the arguing with me if certain items are going to fit. I took me, saying, "That's great, why don't you at least try before you assume anything." and measuring items in front of him proving it would, to get him to get going. (I read on previous reviews that other customers had the same complaint from him.) Mind you I already suffer from anxiety, I don't need the added stress from my movers being pessimistic.
- 2) He or his fellow mover dropped one of my framed art pieces and didn't apologize or offer to cover any damage costs. And I understand things happen, during moves. but the blatant disregard for any type of apology.
- 3) When the move was complete, and I was finalizing the text message for payment. He said, "We ended up working 20 minutes longer, but I wont charge you for that."
That was the final straw and this is when I set him straight.
TL/DR: Arrived at 11:40a but didn't start moving anything until 12:00p. Argued with me about the stuff fitting or not. Broke one of my art piece. And then had the gall to say he worked overtime when he was competed at 01:47pm. (I had set a stop watch going the minute he started.)

Although they arrived a little after the scheduled time (about 10-15 mins), there were prepared with the requested dolly. They were ready to get started quickly and did not need much supervision. My boyfriend has had some very bad experiences with movers in the past, so was reluctant to hire help, however this experience ended up going very smoothly. The movers were very efficient and were finished with the requested work before the designated time was up! I would recommend this company and if in need, would use them again as well.

We had 2 movers arrive perfectly on time and they speed and care they took to move our items into an onsite POD was very impressive. They both were friendly and made our lives easy by handling the move professionally and extremely quickly. I will absolutely use them again and can't recommend them enough!
