I had made a reservation for movers to help unload a U-Haul on Monday morning, August 2. The movers were Pro Touch Movers. Agreed upon window of arrival was between 8 and 9 AM. I emailed them two days in advance to confirm the time and got a confirmation email. By 9:30 AM on Monday morning, nobody had showed up. I tried calling twice and got a voicemail both times. I then got a text from hire a helper that asked me to click a link to do a survey. I responded to that text with the word “help.” Someone from hire a helper called me back within 10 minutes. Hire a helper then contacted Pro Touch movers and then one of the movers called me. He told me that he was currently in Jacksonville finishing up a job and that he would be able to be at my job at about 12:30 PM. What part of a starting time of 8-9 AM did they not understand? Why did they confirm my email that the start time would be between 8 and 9 AM two days prior to the moving day? This later start time did not work for me as I had to return the truck by 2 PM and be at work by 3 PM. I’m so frustrated with this entire situation. If they couldn’t be there by 8 or 9 AM, why didn’t they just let me know ahead of time? Why confirm the start time in an email 2 days ahead of time? I could’ve made alternate arrangements. The unprofessionalism is astounding. DO NOT USE PRO TOUCH MOVERS. EVER. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO PEOPLE WHO CANNOT KEEP THEIR WORD OR SHOW UP ON TIME.
