I chose this moving company because they offered the most competitive price, and as someone trying to move on a budget, that was a big factor in my decision. That said, I quickly learned—you really do get what you pay for.
To be fair, the company did communicate with me ahead of time to let me know that their earlier move had run overtime, which would delay my 2 PM appointment. I appreciated the heads-up and was flexible with the timing. However, when only one mover arrived to start, I had to ask whether my paid time would begin with just one person instead of two. There seemed to be some confusion about when the clock actually started, but I called the company and they reassured me they’d handle it. The second mover ended up arriving about 20 minutes later—not the 5 minutes I was told—which is a big chunk of time when you’re working with a 2-hour window.
As for the movers themselves—Benjamin was great. He moved quickly, stayed focused, and was determined to get the job done. The second mover was noticeably slower, and while I don’t blame him personally, it was clear they were both exhausted. The company’s scheduling left them burnt out by the time they got to me. It was hot outside, they hadn’t had a break, and it showed. I honestly felt for them.
We got to my new place and they were ready to wrap up just as the two-hour window ended. Although I was willing to pay for extra time, it seemed like that wasn’t even on the table—they were simply done for the day. I asked if they could at least bring the heavier items upstairs, which they did, but they clearly had nothing left in the tank. After they left, it was up to me and my teenage son to carry the remaining furniture upstairs—just a few pieces, but still heavy and challenging.
All in all, I ended up doing more work than I expected. It felt like I was part of the crew instead of being the customer. I was physically drained before I could even begin unpacking.
To be clear, I don’t place the blame fully on the movers—they were polite and did their best under the circumstances. The real issue is the company’s scheduling. They overbooked their team and tried to squeeze in one too many moves, which ultimately affected the quality of my experience. If I had been scheduled first thing in the morning, I’m sure the outcome would’ve been different.
In short, if you’re moving on a tight budget, they might be an option—but be prepared to get involved physically and manage your expectations. If I had to do it again, I’d pay more for a team that could fully handle the job from start to finish. Lesson learned.
It’s important to note that you had the option to book additional movers or more time during the reservation process. These options are made available to ensure customers receive the level of support needed based on their unique move. In this case, the job was significantly underquoted for the amount of labor required, which made it challenging to complete everything within the scheduled window—especially during peak summer heat.

The two men from Pro Touch Movers LLC were on time and promptly went to work unloading my POD. It was 99 degrees even at 10 am. They never once seemed to be complaining and worked hard to hand carry my items around the corner due to the POD not fitting on my townhome driveway. I’m an artist so there was a lot of loose artworks and they handled them with care. Both were polite and respectful of me and my belongings. I’d definitely use them again.
