Tom and his helper were on time, professional and prepared to do the job. No milking here, they were on it.! As a former New Yorker who expects graft and corruption, I wasn't sure how this was going to work out, but you can feel safe with this outfit.

Quentin and Sean arrived on time, worked tirelessly for hours and were polite and efficient. Knew what they were doing as far as placement of items in moving trailer.

They were on time and respectful. The problem was that there was no sense of urgency to complete the job and they worked extremely slow. What was scheduled as a 2 hour job took 4 1/2 hours and my husband ended up helping for 2 hours to expedite the job. We ended up wrapping all the furniture and everything was organized. Unfortunately it ended up costing is almost double the cost. I do not recommend their company.

I loaded 10 feet of a 16 foot container and used hire-a-helper to load the remaining 6 feet of heavy items. Everything looked good to the eye when they were done, and I appreciated that they were able to fit more than I expected, plus they were very nice. With there being a few more empty spaces to squeeze some small items, the next day I opened the container and noticed they did not tie anything down. It took me the entire day to unload 3.5 feet of heavy items and tie everything down as I reloaded.
I called Hire-a-helper a few days later to confirm the next scheduled service and told them what happened. They said I should have called at that time so there is nothing they could do. I had one day to fix this mess before the container was being picked up, so there was no time to do anything except unload, and reload load correctly.
I asked for half of my money back and Hire-A-Helper said no.
I have no choice but to use them again at my destination, but will not be using them for my next container which is in 4 weeks.
Very disappointed.

Three young men totally filled a 16 x 8 ft POD in three hours. They were very polite. I would have rated the higher but…
1. They worked as a three person unit with almost no independent activity. Things could have moved more quickly had there been some independent work such as disassembling a bed or taking legs off a dining table while the other two loaded.
2. I discussed disassembly when the order was placed and the record shows that; however, they had no tools to disassemble. My tools were packed but somewhat conveniently located. Tools should have been brought to the site or Hired Heloers should have made it clear I would need to provide the tools.
