INSURANCE through Hireahelper covers goods while being handled by our helpers up to $.60 per pound (policy must be activated by completing an inventory form). Full coverage insurance also available through Hireahelper. We'll never leave you stranded! If late we'll send extra helpers to make up time at no cost when possible. Tyrrell, the mover from Promove, arrived promptly, and worked hard to help me complete my move in less than the two hours I anticipated. In fact, I mistakenly thought I had booked two helpers, so was a bit dismayed to see only one, but he did the work of two men, carefully and methodically and without any grumbling (that all came from me!), and we raced through the project without incident. I hate moving more than practically anything else in life, but Tyrrell made the experience as painless as possible. I would welcome his help next time I have to move anything.

Promove was awesome! I hired two movers and they were right on time, they were prepared with a handcart for my truck. Professional and thought out the moving of the large items so that nothing was damaged. I would recommend them to anyone I know moving in the NYC area.

The movers were on time, had a positive attitude, and were very cooperative. They took good care of my belongings. Some items required a little creativity with getting them into or out of the apartment and I was not sure how much experience they had with this.

We hired 1 helper for two hours and I had Kirk. We moved on Thanksgiving Eve and it was snow/raining, but he came exactly on time and ready to get to work. We had some very big furniture items to move and not a large enough Uhaul to fit them all, but Kirk helped ease the stress of this and managed to fit way more into the van that I imagined possible via his impeccable Tetris skills. Would definitely hire Promove again!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Your move date is set! Contact for details and any necessary instructions
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We always show up! On time arrival within the first 20 minutes of the one hour window, with an experienced, professional and courteous crew.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Please have items packed and ready to go (large boxes not too heavy please), furniture blankets to protect your stuff, appropriate size truck for the move. Then wooosah! we got you, you're things are in capable hands.
What types of moves have you handled?
Local, Long distance, Office, Commercial, Specialty moves (larger & fragile and very expensive medical equipment).
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
No gym membership needed, we get paid to exercise. Our worksite is different everyday & we interact with new people.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Two weeks of moving technique (lifting, turning, angles), teamwork, pacing, basic disassembly/reassembly and materials handling as well as customer service is our basic training. Then our most experienced movers ( Courtney, Eric, Yusef, Azar, Kirk) have advanced training for loading moving vans.
