Having used other moving companies recently, I was surprised by the lack of professionalism with this company. There was not much confirmation ahead of the scheduled moved date beyond the confirmation email from Hire a Helper. The movers arrived after my requested schedule time by about 30 minutes. Three movers were contracted for 5 hours - more than enough time to load a storage unit and apartment and unload. The movers were not in a rush and seemed to "take their time" getting things moved out of the spaces. it took all 5 hours just to load. By the time we were out of time, I was just ready to get to the new location and unload. 1.5 hours after the contracted time, all my belongings were off the truck. No beds were made, there was still quite a bit of stuff at the old location and the furniture was still wrapped, I did not want to pay any extra for them to help put beds together.
I was extremely disappointed that I had to push them to pick up the pace. Unfortunately I will not be using this company in the future.

I talked to Josh and his crew several times during your move because you were on the 3rd floor, had a second location for them to pick up and they helped with packing. At no point did there seem to be dissatisfaction of their work brought to their attention. They also mentioned that you tipped them $100 each after the move. If you could have reached out at some point we could have addressed any concerns you may have had.
Again sorry for any inconvenience and the guys are willing to bring your tip back out to you if it will help. Thanks

Our movers arrive and ask for a quick walkthrough of the property, and at this time you should express any concerns you have or special request you may have.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Try to make sure boxes are sealed and ready to be moved, if there are any items not to be moved please make sure they are marked.

We handle all types of moves, from local, long distance, residential and commercial.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We enjoy the diversity of clientele we see on a daily basis. We love hearing our customers stories and memories of the previous home and plans for their new home.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our Movers are sent out with veteran movers with over 5 years experience to learn the ropes, the do's and don'ts of moving.
