I was a late in the day job, so when their morning jobs went long, mine started late. They did a good job, but then rain intruded, so by mutual consent we decided to stop and resume the next day. I really appreciated that flexibility. On 2nd day, the guys were on time and things went well. I appreciated that they let me borrow some moving blankets.

These guys are amazing. Gods among men. They moved HEAVY furniture up a spiral staircase without scratching the furniture or house. Could not be happier with the service.

What awesome service! K'awan (I'm so sorry if I spelled your name wrong) and Carlos were champs! Moving in July in Texas is horrible (but at least it's not August) and they knocked it out, in masks even! They helped move my mom from her one bedroom apartment in with me and my husband. This move included loading downstairs and then unloading upstairs. My mom has a lot of heavy antique pieces, books and a washer/dryer. They took extra care with everything. They even moved a six footlong dresser my mom didn't bother to unload (note: if you're moving, please empty all your drawers, don't be an a**). We scheduled them for 4 hours for a one bedroom apartment and a drive of about 15 minutes to the second location. Other then that 15 minute drive, they never stopped working. The price was very fair. I mean come on, how much would you want to be paid to carry heavy a** sh*t up and down stairs for 4 hours? I would highly recommend this business.

Now. Some notes for people who have never hired movers or for people who have ridiculous expectations or deep pockets for special treatment.

-you are hiring movers, thats all. They are not going to pack up stuff for you. You have to provide them the materials to keep your furniture safe. I highly recommend packing blanket from uhaul (we used 2 dozen), tape and plastic wrap (also uhaul or ace restaurant supply for big rolls). Plastic wrap is your best friend for keeping drawers closed and protecting corners of tables and such.

-Fragile things such as mirrors, picture frames, TVs, and computers should be placed in your personal vehicle unless properly boxed. They can't just throw your 65' TV in the truck with your couch and kitchen table.

-You can't move a three bedroom house in 2 hours. We did 4 hours for a move from a one bedroom apartment to a one bedroom mother in law suite with stairs both ways. When your hours are up, they may have to move on to another move. They have a schedule just like all of us. The more stairs, the more furniture, the longer it will take. They don't cut corners when packing up the truck so make time for them to do their job right.

-You have to communicate what and where you want items. If you have a table with a trick leg, or a bedframe that will fall apart if you pick it up from a particular angle, you have to let them know. They don't know your furniture or your house, you can't check out and finish packing.

-They are people, be nice. We made sure to have water, lunch and a tip. The reason you're paying for this service is because it's a hard job that you don't want to do. You have to be kind babies!

I moved from Corpus Christi to Austin, TX and needed help unloading as I was moving into an apartment on the second floor and I have (what seems like) a ton of furniture. I have never used a mover before and I was nervous about having my items damaged because of someone not caring.

Well, I found Ogre Man Movers on Hire a Helper; I loved the price point and hired them to help with the unloading of my trailers. The owner, David, is the one that contacted me. He's extremely friendly and great with communicating. He and his helper worked very efficiently and with care. Most of my boxes were labelled by room but if they weren't sure where something went they asked to ensure it went to the right place. I greatly appreciated the attention that they paid to making sure my furniture wasn't damaged. They took a lot of moving stress off of me and were done way earlier than I thought they would be!

I would most definitely recommend them and I plan to use them with any future moves.

The best moving crew I have worked with to date! I have moved a lot over the years and I have used numerous moving crews. Ogre Man Movers were by far the best! I chose them due to their positive reviews online and they did not disappoint. They arrived early and worked insanely fast. I was shocked at how quickly they covered, packed, and secured our belongings into our POD. It was like watching a professional game of Tetris with how they made all of our big furniture fit together perfectly. The crew was very friendly and professional and we have zero complaints. I would highly recommend them!

Dave and his team did an incredible job of helping us move. My husband and I were struggling to move on our own and Ogre Man movers was the help we needed. Communication was incredible and service was fast and professional. Dave repositioned items we had already loaded into the best configuration and worked incredibly fast and efficiently. The Ogre Man Movers even helped us move unwanted items To the appropriate dumpster. I highly recommend This company! They are absolutely incredible and affordable.
