Utopia Movers provided very inconsistent service during their loading of 3 containers for us in late April. The initial crew, though hard working, had trouble properly loading and storing the furniture in the pod container. When the container was unloaded at the other end, piano damage was discovered requiring a claim to be filed. Also, the team had some trouble communicating w/themselves which delayed the process somewhat. During the second pod, one of the movers had car trouble and did not show up until 2pm vs. the 9:30am start time. Also, we spent a considerable amount on tape, boxes, paper and blankets that resulted in a lot of unused materials which could have been better planned. HireAHelper was also not much help in trying to resolve our issues due to their phone support only business model. That was mostly unhelpful and unreachable during our move.
I honestly could not recommend these movers again.

I used Utopia Movers earlier this year and they did an excellent job, they were kind flexible and on time. The second time did not disappoint and it was a much bigger job, they were cooperative when plans changed and I was grateful. I would hire again!

The guys were nice and respectful to us. However they weren’t really mindful of our belongings, they placed boxes where they in places where they got crushed by heavier objects, trying to force items into places they didn’t quite fit which caused a decent scratch on an armoire we have. I made a comment about there possibly not being enough space for what was left they said, “ well you can put it in your truck if you are driving”. Then, when I said I wanted to pull everything out and organize things better, they didn’t want to, “we’re already this far” was the comment. I thought we were hiring professional movers and that’s not what we got. They were day laborers hired from a temp agency.

Utopia Movers are the best! Once hired they communicated with us the day before our POD arrived to ensure their arrival time. Unfortunately, the POD did not arrive when expected, so they were helpful in accommodating us to show up the next morning to make sure the POD was there and ready for them to help us move. They arrived on-time and worked very hard to accomplish what we needed, and got the good majority of our big items in the POD so we only had to worry about the things we could move, which was what we wanted. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!
