The day before the job the customer called David Reyes to ask for additional time for his order which was for 3 movers /2 hours. He was informed we did not have additional time available and suggested he find other service providers that could accommodate his request. The customer told us that he would keep his order for 3 movers/2 hrs and just get done what we can in the 2 hrs. At the time of the phone call the day before the job the customer failed to disclose that there were going to be 2 containers instead of the one container on the original order . He also failed to inform us that the containers were unable to be placed on his driveway which was very very steep. The containers were placed on the street approximately 180 feet away from the front door. The driveway was extremely steep that we informed him that a truck would be needed to shuttle the items. The customer failed to inform us that the amount of containers to be unloaded had doubled and there was a very steep 180 foot walk to the door which set us up for failure. You can’t double the amount of work to be done and expect it to be completed in the same of time required to unload 1 container.

3 movers were hired to load 1 container. Upon arriving we were told there are 2 containers to be loaded. Also upon arriving we were informed that the pods would be there in just 1.5 hrs to pick up the first loaded container and drop off the second container to be loaded. The customer also did not inform anyone that the townhome was 3 stories which makes a significant difference in time and effort. The first container was loaded in time for pick up by pods in 1.5 hrs and the second container was filled to 90% capacity all within 4 hrs.
The customer realized we were running out of the 4 hrs booked and specifically told us not to worry about the heavy furniture or bringing it down to the middle level as the bigger heavier items were time consuming to negotiate the stairs. Seriously, we were half way down the stairs with a huge piece and he literally told us to stop and focus on loading the second container so the he may have it picked up.
He did not have to order more movers or another container because of something we did or did not do. We filled both containers to capacity and there was still a 3rd container worth of stuff in the house. The customer grossly underestimated the amount of space and help needed. The customer failed to provide all the facts of the job such as there are 2 containers instead of 1, he failed to disclose that 1 container would be picked up in 1.5 hrs and failed to mention that there are 3 flights of stairs.
