Wll, where to start...first the movers were late arriving to our house saying that they had run out of gas and had to push their car to a gas station. When they did arrive, they took a look at the boxes that we had ready to load and groaned as if they weren't expecting to actually do any real work or something. They started loading and for the first hour seemed to be making progress but after that my wife and I looked outside several times and saw them kind of standing in the middle of everything, kind of confused. When I asked if there was a problem, one mover said, "I'm just trying to figure how we're going to do this. I don't know man, I don't know." I asked a few times if we were going to need more people or an extra trailer to fit things and I never got a straight answer, it was either, "I'm not sure how we're going to do this" or, "You have more than enough room." I finally ended up going to U-Haul to arrange a trailer but at the last minute my wife called and said they were able to fit everything in the truck (this was after having gone TWO HOURS over the scheduled time) Fast forward to us arriving into Phoenix where we also hired two movers to unload our truck and when they opened the truck, the first thing they asked was, "Did you guys pay someone to load this?" We looked in the back and saw a bunch of our small furniture items had been literally thrown onto a pile in the truck and out of the 3 dozen moving pads we rented, about 5 were used. So as the truck was unloaded we kept coming across furniture that was scraped or dented, something that could have easily been avoided if the oads had been used. The worst damage was to our stainless stell refrigerator which looked like someone took a small hammer to the front panel to it. The mobers that unloaded our truck were on time, professional and were able to unload the truck in half the time we had scheduled them for. The movers for Unloading Services (which migh be what they are better at doing) were a couple of young guys who did not seem to know what they were doing and based on how they packed our things, obviously did not.

The worst company I have ever had to deal with. Ordered 4 guys for 4 hours and 2 guys showed up on time and the other 2 showed up 40 minutes later. In those 40 minutes the first 2 guys complained about the stairs and to he boxes and managed to move 3-4 boxes.
They were complaining so bad a neighbor came to tell me they were sitting out there at the truck complaining and saying they could go faster but the didn't want to because they weren't told about the stairs (I put on my quote request that there were 14 steps up to apartment). On guy told me he couldn't work fast or lift stuff because he got a new tattoo the night before.
I called the office 3 times and nobody answered. When I finally got a hold of someone they sent out a 5th guy to supervise. He showed up with his 3 year old. He gave the kid my bottled water that I had for the movers (not upset that girl needed drive k but he took one for himself and one for her and they each drank less than a quarter of the bottle so he could have shared with the kid)
I called after we got to our destination because I had rented 24 furniture pads and they had used 9. Half of my furniture was not wrapped and my bookshelf has a gouge out of it and my pantry cabinet is gouged and the bottom is broken. The glass to my entertainment center is cracked and I have left messages and have not received a call back and it a has been almost a week.
What should have taken 4 guys 3 hours to load (a two bedroom 1100sq/ft apartment) took almost 6 hours.
The truck was unloaded in under an hour and even the unloaders stated how awful the truck was packed. Heavy stuff was on top of light stuff.

My helper was exactly on time.
He was great. He worked very hard and was very cheerful about it. Nothing was damaged at all.
My friend who was helping lift the heavy items was very tired from loading all morning so our helper tried to do more so he wouldn't have to.
I would definitely recommend hire-a-helper and I would use them again.

Tylor and Joe actually reported to the job early after calling to make sure an earlier time worked. They were prepared to start and worked quickly. They were very courteous and wanted to make sure we received a good job. They moved several pieces of furniture for us, both inside the house and out to the garage. When I asked them to move a couple extra items, they happily did so. They were also very patient when I changed my mind about where an item was placed and moved items as requested. These are two extremely hardworking young men. I recommend them and would readily hire them again.

The first two guys were a total screw up.
The second two guys were very nice guys and they worked hard. However, when I went down this morning to put boxes in the POD, it was obvious that the loading was a total failure. How could you think it was okay to pile a big box, little box, big box in a pile..... the little box in the middle was breaking down the top of the big box and the big box on top was ready to fall over. In another spot there was a two foot gap between the wall and the stack of boxes.
There was such wasted space. I had to pay another guy 10 bucks an hour to repack the entire POD. This took 1.5 hrs to repack. It was a waste of time and my money.
I will not recommend Hire A Helper, nor will I ever use Hire A Helper again. I should not be paying for those two first guys at all. They were a waste. The second two were trying, but they need some kind of training.

Aaron and Amos were punctual, friendly, and took care of my fragile musical instruments and art studio equipment. They worked efficiently and hard and moved lots of fairly heavy items from a basement in a fairly short period of time. I would recommend their services to other planning a move.

We hired two movers for four hours and they showed up on time and very efficient at moving our boxes and furniture.

Frank and Johnny (aka Frank) were excellent in every. They arrived promptly and ready to work with good humor and quick suggestions for fasting unloading. They were kind and careful to all our belongings and I would recommend them to anyone.

The two helpers sent were early and prepared to work. They worked well together and were very careful of the furniture moved and extra careful of my china cabinet. I would recommend the company to anyone needing help with moving.

Paid for three guys. one was on the phone way too much. One did practically nothing. These guys loaded my 26 foot truck. Took longer than it should and when we got to our destination our unloaders had us stand and watch our furniture unload as there was so much damage. Our 65 inch rear projection tv had the front wheels damaged so badly that the TV leans forward. The unloaders said the crew in Colorado must have not put the TV on furniture dolly's as they should have. I had 3 doz furniture pads yet practically none were used. I supplied straps and the crew should have known how to apply them yet, the dining table has a huge indentation in it from improper strapping and most drawer knobs were snapped off of my daughters dressers. unbelievable amount of damage when we got to our destination. DO NOT USE> They can load you're stuff but they don't know how to load to prevent damage.
