We hired Golden Movers through Porch on 4 September 2025 to unload our locked POD at our new home.
Before transport, Maryland camera footage confirms the box containing our PS5, Nintendo Switch Lite, Apple TV and accessories was loaded with no irregularities, and our home alarm logs show no break-ins. The POD traveled with a lock for which we alone held the key, and the lock and container showed no signs of tampering when opened.
After Golden Movers unloaded, that clearly labeled electronics box was missing when we unpacked. The only period of unsupervised access was during unloading at the new home, when three movers worked while the sole homeowner present was occasionally occupied. Their vehicle was parked directly in front of the POD, creating ample opportunity for the box to be removed.
Based on these facts, we believe the loss occurred during unloading. We will file a police report and requested full reimbursement from Porch and Golden Movers for the moving fee and the value of the missing items. We tipped the crew, which makes this outcome especially disappointing.
We will update this review if the matter is resolved.

Golden Movers did a fantastic job moving some very heavy furniture from our main home to the pool house. The team was courteous, professional, and worked safely the entire time — not a single scratch or bit of damage during the move. We were incredibly impressed with their efficiency and care. Highly recommend Golden Movers and will absolutely use them again in the future!

They got the job done but were slow and did not follow instructions. Also scuffed my walls, kitchen cabinets and trim (which I just had repainted…) and staircase pillar.
Overall did the work and were friendly. I think the manager needs to show up as well and supervise for a little bit at least.
