jose and frank busted their butts for 3 hours. they were on time and brought 2 hand trucks, jose was in charge and obviously has a lot of packing experience. he had me lead him around and tell me what was going in the truck so that he knew what order to pack it all in. they were just what l needed. thank you and them !

I'd hire Samuel Services again in a heartbeat. The two movers arrived on time, worked non-stop moving the contents of our one-bedroom apartment down a flight of stairs, across the street into our new 2-bedroom up a flight of stairs. They were prepared with the hand trucks and furniture dolly we requested, but what was an added bonus was how respectful they were by being so quiet throughout that they didn't disturb our sleeping newborn!

They showed up on time to pack our moving truck and they were polite. However I had two problems that would prevent me from using them again. First, the movers who unpacked our truck were surprised that these guys had not tied off our belongings in the truck much more carefully. One of our cabinets was damaged and some items arrived broken because they had not been tied off. Their ad said they provided rope but that turned out to be inaccurate because I had to give them some rope. Second, I underestimated the amount of time I needed them for (I reserved two men for four hours). When the four hours was up, they left very abruptly. We still had a giant pile of stuff in our driveway needing to be packed into our moving truck. I was under the impression we could hire them for additional time if we needed them, but apparently they had another job and they were unwilling to push that job back a little or come back later. I ended up having to hire a bunch of neighborhood college kids to finish packing our truck. This is partially my fault which is why I am giving them three stars instead of one, but I really do wish they would have tried a little harder to help find a solution for us instead of literally just walking away with the job left unfinished.
